Trained in one of the best Neuroscience Institutes in the country, Dr Praveen K S is an accomplished Neurosurgeon able to handle the entire spectrum of Brain and Spine disorders including Trauma, Oncology, Minimally Invasive Surgeries, Complex Instrumentation, Vascular and Paediatric Disorders.Apart from excelling in the Academia by being a Topper in all qualifying examinations, he has also won many Gold medals and accolades all through his career including “Best Outgoing Student of The Year’’- NIMHANS 2007.He has actively participated in and conducted many outpatient camps in various districts of Karnataka. His commitment to patient care, attention to detail and quality control of outcomes are a result of bringing latest techniques and Industry Best Practices into the parlance of clinical practice.He has attended various CMEs and National and International Conferences and has presented Scientific papers on various neurosurgical topics.During my MCh Neurosurgery, he has assisted his Professors in almost all major cases in Neurosurgery including vascular, oncology, skull base, epilepsy, stereotactic, endoscopic and spine. He has independently operated all routine neurosurgical cases during my Senior Residency till May 2008 – the whole spectrum of neurotrauma, surface tumors (extra and intra axial both supra and infratentorial), spinal degenerative conditions (fenestration and discectomy, cervical discectomy), spinal tumors (Extradural, intradural extramedullary) etc. In all, I have operated over 600 cases. Specifically, he has assisted in ventricular endoscopic work for ETVs, colloid cyst excision, septostomy, intraventricular parasitic cyst removal etc apart from total endoscopic endonasal pituitary tumor excision and endoscopic CSF leak repairs
