I went to Dr.Prashanth with Distal Radius Fracture on my right hand.I got the injury while running and subsequently falling across the railway line at Carmelaram,Sarjapur road.
Once I reached the Apollo Clinic on Sarjapur Road,Doctor immediately told me this is a fracture and gave me the various options for treatment. He explained to me how much time it would take the fracture to heal and the nature of healing process.By looking at the fracture after Xray, Doctor advised that a small procedure would be required to make the fracture heal correctly. This 'day' procedure was to be conducted at Apollo Spectre Hospital Kormangala.Doctor explained to me the exact procedure and its after effects and also helped me coordinate with the correct contacts at Apollo Spectre Hospital. The procedure was to pull the bones with Wires, under anesthesia and live xray so that there is no malalignment of bones upon healing. After the procedure Doctor called me for followup in 2 weeks and an X ray was done on to check whether the healing is proper.Next followup was in 4 weeks time, when Doctor removed the full plaster and confirmed with an X ray that healing was in the right direction. At this moment a half plaster was applied on my hand which continued until 7 weeks. At the end of 7 weeks Doctor confirmed with an Xray that my hand has healed 85 to 90 % and now I can move my hand with wrist movements and also start physiotherapy exercises for completing the healing process. Now my Wrist has completely recovered and I am pleased by the Professionalism shown by the Doctor throughout the fracture healing stage.I also admire him to answer all my and my family queries during each stages of the treatment and also empathize with me on the mental aspect of being mentally down after fracture. His kind words instilled confidence in me.
With this treatment I have enormous respect for Dr.Prashanth and I would definitely recommend Dr.Prashanth to my family and friends.

Overall,I have had a good experience in my interactions.

Coming to Apollo Clinic Sarjapur Road, the service is pathetic.
Although their Consulting Doctors are very renowned, the hospital facilities, staff, nurses are novice and most of the time its chaos on a weekend. They seem to be highly under staffed.

Visited For Finger Pain

By the time we took her to our regular doctor it had got infected. He immediately referred to Dr. Prashanth who could assess the problem well. He got the X-ray done and then drained the pus. He was not rushed at all, talked to my daughter and is very competent. At each stage he would explain why he is doing what he is doing, especially since this was a matter of dealing with a child. The visit schedule was created taking into account various practical considerations like festivals etc. I got to know that he is so popular only after walking in for the next appointment and getting to know that there are 15 people ahead of us! Anyways, he was considerate enough to conduct the few minute examination in-between patients. For the subsequent visit, I took an appointment a week before. Again, explained to us how it is going, got a second x-ray done and reevaluated.

He is a great example of how doctors should be: being communicative without going overboard, building trust with the patient and family and at the same time being competent with his work.

He is highly recommended. However, do take prior appointment, as given his popularity there tends to be a long waiting period.

This is the first thumbs down review for Dr Prashanth as I see only positive reviews for the doctor ,
This review is also reflecting the unprofessional and lame attitude by Apollo Clinic where the doc visits. I first booked the doctor for Apollo clinic, Bellandur clinic and i reached the venue on time only to be told the doc would not come owing to heavy rains . Nobody from the clinic bothered to call and inform me,
Second time i booked for the doc at his clinic and to make sure i could meet him this time i called him and he asked me to come to Apollo clinic where we did meet him finally . ( guess if i hadnt called him , i would have just kept waiting in his clinic ) . He was polite and listened to our problems well and asked us to come again 3 days later
. When i booked an appointment for the 3d time at sarjapur road apollo branch, i waited for an hr at the clinic and he never turned up, when i called him he said because of traffic he was at bellandur Apollo clinic and could not come to sarjapur road branch. Nobody at the clinic bothered to tell me he wasnt coming . Really hope he can be more appreciative of the patients time as well .Traffic and rains happen are same for all, if the patient could make it , i really hope the doctor can too. I understand if the doc gets delayed due to various other reasons but seriously this is hard to digest.
