He completed his DM Neurology from NIMHANS, Bangalore with Gold Medal and was the best outgoing student. He has completed his post-doctoral fellowship in Epilepsy from the prestigious SCTIMST, Trivandrum and is a World Sleep Federation Certified Sleep Specialist. He specializes in treating various neurological disorders like Stroke, Dementia, Peripheral neuropathy, Parkinsonism, muscle diseases, motor neuron diseases, and is specially trained in Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis and Sleep Disorders which are his main fields of interest. He is a Speaker at various conferences and has numerous research publications to his credit.
