Dr. Nirmala Rajgopalan

Dr. Nirmala Rajagopalan, General Physician from Bangalore; set up the Nirmai Clinic with a view to make treatment affordable for the common man. She is a full-time doctor at the clinic. She has her visions which she aims to fulfill through her “Nirmai Clinic”. Through her clinic, she wishes to revive the concept of family physicians.She has also worked in various other roles at various institutions. She has worked as a Brand Development Consultant to Sumukha Foundation. It is a foundation that aims to provide free Reconstructive Surgery for children. She has also been working as the Co-investigator at the Freedom Foundation. Dr. Nirmala believes in herself and her skills to make her ideas come true. She understands and grasps issues and comes up with solutions instantly.She has exceptional leadership qualities and is dedicated to the core. She conducted the first medical camp for HIV Positive women in Goa in collaboration with the World Vision. The findings of the camp were used to strengthen advocacy for better medical care for people living with HIV/ AIDS in Goa. Her areas of expertise include General Medicine, Management of TB, Disaster Management, Medical Franchising etc. She has worked under various posts that include working as Program Manager, Project manager, Senior Physician etc.She is also into Clinical Management of Patients, Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission, building local capacity and mentoring medical and paramedical staff. As a Project Manager, she has Successfully developed the Project proposal for Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV which is currently in its 8th year of running. She has written many abstracts and her presentations have been widely praised for the clarity of ideas
