Dr. Narmada Devi

As a parent i was really happy that i could take my child to Dr. Narmada Devi for all the consultations(Cold, Cough, Fever, vomiting.. etc) from the age of 6 months till 4 years. All I have is positive reviews for the doctor and hospital staff as well. Dr. Narmada Devi spends good time with the child and tries to understand the child's problem before prescribing any medicines. One thing I like the most is, she tries to avoid antibiotics as much as possible. One caution though is, there will be good amount of wait time and I can assure it will be worth waiting for that time. My relocation to Hyderabad forced us to look for a new Paediatrician and I am not really sure if i can find a doctor like her in Hyderabad.

I take my kid for immunization as well as all health related (cough, cold, fever etc...) to the Dr. Narmada Devi.

She carefully listens to us each time we go with complains. She goes to Anti-biotics as last resort and try to avoid it. Totally satisfied with her and I recommend it to others.

Wait time is more (~30mins). Walk-in takes more time.

My four year old kid, had fever in January for which she prescribed an antibiotic course of 5 days. Fever had come down after the medication but only cough remained. We waited for another 4-5 days thinking it would reduce, nothing improved. We went to her with the issue. Now the solution what she suggested was to use puffer with a spacer. Two medicines alternatively used per day for a week **** ***** ** *** *** *** *** ************ During consultation, she kept on assuring us that there's nothing to worry as chest and throat was clear. After this one more visit happened with the same issue. Then also she was insisting us to use the puffer till things improve. A month has passed with all these visits **** ** ************ ** *** ********** Then March month started with the baby's body temperature rising up to 102-105. This time we were very tensed as in why this is happening so frequently. Then again we went to her place, this time we did a normal blood check up in which the blood count was found to be 27000. She seemed to be surprised at the count and slowly started understanding that this are going out of control. She took no time in referring us to a doc at Apollo Cradle hospital and asked us to get admitted. There when undergone a detailed checkup, we got to know that all this while (1 and half month) kid was having severe bacterial infection and now it had reached a CRP level of 138. The normal range i think is between 1-10. Our madam here, was so sure that nothing was wrong... kept on assuring us nothing to worry. **** *** ******** ** ************* *** *** *** * **** **** ** ******* ** ***** *******

I called the doctor for my baby's cold and cough problem. She talked very rudely and suggest medicine Asthaline. *** ***** *** **** ********* ******* ********* **** ******* Next time when I called, she didn't pick the call.I checked with different doctor and she immediately change the medicine.

Next time I visited to the doctor for another cold and cough problem, that time she said no worries, no cough are there and she suggest medicine for 5 days. But after use the medicine for 2 days the problem is not reducing.

Not listening the problem carefully.

Worst experience... I had booked the appointment for ear piercing. While booking they asked the baby age.. I confirmed saying 2 months. For 2 month old baby ear piercing is not done as the required vaccines will not be done by this age. They did not tell me this over the call. I reached there crossing over this Bangalore traffic from Hoodi to the clinic and after going there they say me we are sorry madam and can’t go ahead.. which was so very pathetic.. I dnt recommend this clininc in future to anyone.

She’s been my choice of pediatrician for both my kids since last 12 years . Friendly and and gentle and right with proescriptions. Avoids big hammer approach.

Not the right doc for kids injuries but for seasonal

Flu, infections, tummy trouble, congestions and any other trouble that kids have she’s been very effective

Yes wait times are longer.

I have consulted Dr Narmada a couple of times for routine stuff like cough, cold, chest congestion etc.. clinic is quite crowded which is to be expected with such reputed and busy doctor... as far as ive noticed she doesnt prescibe unnecessary medicine like antibiotic.. but I couldn't consult her routinely only because i felt she didnt spend much time to listen to the problems or much time or interest in explaining the solutions.. otherwise clinic is well equipped with qualified nurses, who check vital stats n height weight etc.. ear piercing facility for kids, etc only problem is that they don't do nebulisation unless prescribed by Dr Narmada so anyone from nearby area who consulted in other hospital and want to use nebulizer at little Angel clinic for urgency won't be allowed to do so... otherwise she is well recommended by many of my known friends and acquaintances.

Doctor is too good as we heard about her reputation. She listens to you patiently and corrects you in case you have been following wrong practices. The only issue with her clinic is not getting appointments as per your need. Most of times, it’s overbooked. Moreover, you walk-in to her clinic and expect to wait for more than an hour easily. Her support staff is just an average with no empathy on your waiting experience. Clinic is on the ground floor of an individual house, looks like she stays at same place upstairs. Hence, for the volume of patients visiting her the space is bit congested even on a weekdays.

My son (of 2 yrs old) is been suffering with Bronchotis issue per past 1 yr.

She has treated him with more care last year (Jan 2017) and saved us from re-admission to hospital ( he got admitted once in Dec 2016 for Croup attack). For me she is a good subject to matter and makes the case as easy as possible without complicating. Definitely , there will be more +ve s to share with you guys...will keep you posted as and when I see more ********* *** good experiences with her. Would like to thank her.

Very reputed and very busy. Good diagnosis but cannot find scope to discuss in detail. Not open for phone calls during emergency. Go with sufficient time in advance, no prior appointment possible.

However in terms of diagnosis She is very good and efficient. Also very considerate and affectionate with kids.
