Dr. Nagaraj H K

Dr. H K Nagaraj is working as Senior Professor & Head of Urology, at MS Ramaiah Medical College in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Dr. Nagaraj is the first in the country to start a Mobile Stone Blasting (Lithotripsy) service to rural masses in 1995.He has pursued MBBS and MS (General Surgery) from Bangalore Medical College. After accomplishing MS, Dr. Nagaraj worked with St. John's Medical College as Tutor/ Demonstrator Registrar/ Sr. Resident Lecturer in Surgery. He further accomplished an M Ch degree in Urology from Kasturba Medical College in 1987.Dr. Nagaraj is an examiner for M Ch (Urology) examine for JIPMER (Pondicherry), Stanley Medical College, MGR Medical University (Chennai), National Medical College (Kolkata), and RIMS (Manipur). In addition to this, he has conducted several instructional courses to the M Ch (Urology) post graduate students across India. In 1996, Dr. Nagaraj was invited for the teaching program at Rose Medical center, Denver, USA.Dr. Nagaraj was appointed as Coordinator for 3 years by the Urological Society of India to promote Laparoscopic Urology in India. He has also conducted more than 30 workshops related to Laparoscopic Urology. Dr. Nagaraj is fully committed to social activities. He is running charity Lithotripsy Center at Hudson Circle, Bengaluru since 1995. In his constant effort to reach to economically weak section of society, Dr. Nagaraj has been conducting several health camps, and cataract surgery camps with his own money. He has served Karnataka Red Cross in the capacity of Executive Committee Member and Chairman Health Committee.
