After completing his BAMS he went to pursue the hidden treasures of Ayurveda in the heartlands of Kerala. He became the protégé of Dr.Aryadevi, Chief Physician, Sukrutham Ayurvedic Hospital, Calicut, a direct disciple of Ashtavaidya Parampara, under whom he started visualizing the age old tradition of Ayurveda in a new light. To quench his interest in Bala chikitsa (Ayurvedic version of Paediatrics) Dr.Giridhar then joined CNS Bala Chikitsalayam under legendary Bala Chikitsa expert, Vaidya Gangadharan Nair. After finishing his training under these stalwarts, he returned to Bangalore as the branch physician of Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala.
