Visited For Throat and Voice Problems
Hoped for better: Explanation of the health issueTreatment satisfaction
Don’t recommend this doctor. I visited him for persistent throat pain after 2 courses of antibiotics. After visiting a good ENT, I came to know I have ulcer in throat. But this doctor had checked my throat but didn’t find anything. He said something like fungus in throat which is what he wrote in my prescription. Then he started talking about tonsillitis. He suggested me to eat icecream to treat it. He was also suggesting getting tonsils removed and shared his number in case I wanted to get that operation. ** **** **** ********** ******* ***** *** * *** ******** **** * ***** ***** ************* ****** ********* ********* ** ********* ** ***** *** **** **** ***** ******* *** ********* *** ***
I had one of the worst experience with Dr.Mahesh Meda in Health Nest Hospital , HSR layout, I had 2 visits and below are my comments / observation : ( people kindly read my review before visiting this doctor - save money, save time, there are better doctor around in Bangalore)
1st visit : During my first visit, I explained him about my problem that I get a bulge near my neck whenever I eat food, he examined my mouth and told that there should be a stone , I asked him whether it is curable through tablets, he told it is curable but he wanted to see my reports ( I had done a ultrasound scan) , meanwhile he asked me to take some tablets which he prescribed, and told me that if the bulge doesn't reduce he will do a needle test or do operation to remove stone - 400 consultation charges.
2nd visit : My throat began to pain more, I couldn't eat food, I told my problem to Dr, to my surprise without even doing any basic check on my neck, he told me that it could be a symptom of TB !!!! I was taken back, I was nervous to hear TB ! he also told me that there could be possible of having stone in the salivary gland and have to do small operation , now I really started to panic.....didn't know what to do, I asked him is it curable through tablets, he gave me 2 options ( If I could choose an option-why should I go to a doctor) - 1. Do a test to access the situation or 2. Start antibiotic course for TB ( 9 months course) .. ooppss by now I was totally upset , he pulled a small paper from his pocket ( Magnus appointment slip), he asked me to do a blood test and CT scan......I was making double sure whether I have TB or stond in my gland , he pulled out his Mobile and started to show me some operations he had done for other patients with similar problem, the procedures he explained me ( like cutting the jaw to remove the stone) brought me shivers....I came out of the hospital with literally tears in my eyes thinking I have TB. 400 visiting charges
I didn't get sleep entire nite, next day I visited Manipal Hospital - I explained my problem, the doctor observed my throat and told she could see a small stone near my salivary gland, she immediately removed the stone and told me nothing to worry about, now my pain has gone and the bulge has started to reduce ......I'm now a relieved man, imaging if I had pursed with Dr.Mahesh, he would have either operated my throat or given me TB removal course for 9 months !!!!
Please please please- for god sake don't visit this Doctor and also please don't visit Health Nest.....all are money minded people
Visited For Ear Wax (Cerumen) Removal

Most unpleasant of experiences with any doctor I ever have had. *** ******* ****** ****** ** ****
I went to check for ****** symptom of not being able to hear clearly mostly due to wax accumulation in my left ear. ******* **** ******** ** *** ** ******* ************ ***** ** ********* ****** *****. After he was done convincing me for taking a scan of my nose to treat a thyroid condition, he finally looked at my ear. Now with minimal discussion he straightaway started the procedure of wax removal without even wearing gloves or sanitizing hands or tools. ** *** *** ****** *** ******** ********* ** ***** ******* ***** ** ****** *** *** *** **** ***** *** ******** he started poking some sharp tools through my ears to pull out the hardened wax. As it was extremely painful, I was hesitant to complete the process but did the mistake of trusting a doctor who is with Narayana Multispeciality hospital.
** *** *** **** ** ****** ** **** *** was asking me to keep my head on his desk so he can see through my ear clearly.. I had to ask why don’t you treat me while I am laying down on the patient bed in the same cabin ****** ** * ****** ******* During the procedure I was under so much pain and discomfort as he was pulling some had substance through my ear canal with some sharp tools *** ********** ***** ** ******** ** *** ***** *********** *** *** *** ******** *** * *** ** ************ *** ****** ***** *** ****** ** ***** **** **** ** ** ***** I didn’t even want to wait for him to finish his prescription after that horrible experience of suffering pain due to injuries to my ear canal. Looking at my pain, at the end, he applied local anaesthesia liquid (after the procedure was already done) and went on to tell me that he didn’t apply the anaesthesia first, hence it was painful. On top of it he made a statement that, “there might be a pre-existing hole in your eardrums that you might have ignored all these days and the wax was blocking the hole. Now when we removed the wax that hole is bleeding.” I was so traumatised I almost felt violated.
Straight away I ran to see another ENT specialist ** ****** *** ****** ** *** ** ** **** *** ****** ****** **** ****** ** **** ***** ********* *** *** **** *** *** ***** ** ***** *** ********* *** ** *** ******** **** *** ***** ******** *** ** ***** ***** ***** *** **** ******** ** ******* ***** ** ** **** ******* ** *** ** ***** ** *** *** ** ***** **** *** *** ******** ** **** ****** ******** *** ********* ****
As I am writing this review, I still am in discomfort, pain and having emotional trauma due the experience, hoping for faster recovery of ear canal from the injuries he inflected upon me during the simple basic wax removal procedure.
