Dr. Keni Ravish Rajiv

Dr. Keni Ravish Rajiv is a Senior Consultant Neurologist and Epileptologist in the Department of Neurosciences at Aster Whitefield Hospital, Aster CMI Hospital, Aster RV Hospital, Bangalore and Aster MIMS, Calicut. He has vast experience in treating various complex and difficult to manage patients with epilepsy. He is an expert in the field of epilepsy and is one of the few certified epileptologists in India.He has experience of reporting more than 1500 video EEGs and more than 250 intra-operative electrocorticography. He is well-versed in treating both adult and pediatric complex epilepsy cases. After the completion of his Epilepsy Fellowship, he joined Narayana Medical College, Nellore as the in-charge epileptologist and was instrumental in setting up the Comprehensive Epilepsy Care Center (first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh). Subsequently after joining Aster, he has been successfully running Epilepsy surgery program in Department of Neurosciences at Aster Hospitals, Bangalore and Aster MIMS, Calicut. Under his guidance epilepsy surgery has been successfully carried out for more than 100 patients within a short span of 3 years. He has expertise in neuromodulation in Epilepsy, and to his credit several patients with refractory epilepsy have benefited from invasive modalities viz. Vagus nerve stimulation, Deep brain stimulation and non-invasive modalities viz. trans-auricular vagus nerve stimulation and repetitive trans-cranial magnetic stimulation. He is one the pioneers in utilizing tele-video EEG i.e. remote video EEG monitoring for evaluation of refractory epilepsy cases and is successfully running tele-video EEG units in Belgaum, Shimoga, Kolhapur, Rajahmundry, Guntur, Nellore. Numerous patients have been benefited from this service and have undergone Epilepsy surgery.
