Hello! Recently, my husband underwent an Acute Appendicitis surgery, where his appendix inflamed and was filled with pus. He complained of massive abdominal discomfort and kept vomiting without any food and water.

My husband, Sudip Bhattacharya got diagnosed of the above health condition on 6th January, 2023 at Manipal Hospital, Emergency Unit, at Old Airport road, Bengaluru. Dr K. Hemanth Kumar was the doctor, who we had consulted. He and his team were so fast, that they began the treatment immediately and prepared my husband mentally and physically for the surgery.

I must share that Dr K. Hemanth is a very empathetic medical professional and he took special care to ensure that his patient and family are all comfortable and confident. The surgery was done on the same day at night 9 pm and by 11 pm, my husband was talking with us.

The Dr briefed us post the surgery about his condition and conveyed that my husband is perfectly fine and will recover soon. We were asked to stay in the hospital for a week time and Dr K. Hemanth Kumar's team took the needed care to ensure that my husband recovered soon.

I can only say one thing that we all are grateful to Dr K. Hemanth Kumar for his expert medical attention during and post the surgery. Today on 19th Jan, 23, we went to show my husband to the Dr K. Dr. K HEMANTH KUMAR is an exceptional Gastrointestinal Surgeon at Manipal Hospital HAL, Bangalore. Am 30yrs Female who went for a Leproscopic Appendectomy.

I have Acute Appendicitis and base of the Appendix where it's attached to a large intestine ( thick up to 2.5cm), he reviewed all CECT reports and suggested Lap appendectomy and he made it clear to us that based on the inside condition while surgery it may change to Cecectomy that decision will be taken on call during surgery.

On 5/10/2023 Laparoscopic surgery was done. I recovered in 3 days with mild pain in stitches. Also went for 1st follow-up after surgery on 14/10/2023.

My mom was admitted at Manipal hospital Old Airport road with Intestinal obstruction last month. The situation demanded that we go in for an emergency surgery. Dr Hemant Kumar is one of the most empathetic humane doctor i have ever met, he is a God sent for us and he treated my mother back to health. My mother Leela Gopinath was diagnosed with gall bladder disease and was advised for gall bladder removal, just when the surgery was about to happen, she developed liver abscess and then dengue, but with Dr Hemant's and his team's best efforts, all her conditions were managed effectively and she recovered. I got to know @ two month back during our company's annual health check up that I have stone or something in my gall bladder needs to be treated. On further investigation as suggested by doctors in my home town, the doctor advises for removel of gall bladder at the earliest. I was planning the lap surgery for the same at Indore. Showed my mom for a cyst in her stomach. Cyst turned out to be a tumor. Dr Hemanth was very patient, devoted ample time and handled surgery exceptionally well.
