Excellent Care: I am 67 years old and wanted to have my eyes checked and as it has been more than 3 years since I had my spectacles changed and felt some minor vision problems. I met Dr. Ashish Kumar on the 19th June 2017.
Dr. Ashish Kumar listened patiently to me and examined me and told me that I had immature cataract in both eyes and needed surgery. His answers to my questions dispelled all my doubts and fears and I instantly felt that my eyes are in safe hands. I could feel his caring nature, expertise and his ability to put the patient at ease.
I had my surgery done in my right eye by Dr. Ashish Kumar on 24th June. During the surgery he was explaining every step of the surgery. In fact I was totally unaware of when he introduced the instrument into my eye while chit-chatting with me. He even said I was doing well in listening to his instructions and co-operating. On the sixth day I had my surgery for my left eye with a similar happy experience.
During and after the surgery the doctor and his team treated me with friendly care and of course professionally. The hospital atmosphere is spic and span and the facilities are most advanced and well maintained. Everything happened smoothly from getting the doctor’s appointment and interactions with the hospital staff and follow up.
I had the multi-focal IOL implanted in my eyes and my eyesight has improved tremendously after the surgery.

I am 68 years old and recently moved to Bangalore from Chennai. As I had Cataract developing in my eyes, I wanted to find a Clinic/hospital nearby. I always prefer a well equipped Clinic/Small Hospital with experienced Doctors as you will get personal care and attention there compared to bigger Hospitals of repute. While searching in the net I located AKSHARA EYE HOSPITAL and was very much impressed with the credentials of Dr Ashish Kumar. The reviews posted further strengthened my view.
I fixed up an appointment with the Doctor on 28th March 2017 evening.The very first thing that impressed me was the cleaneliness of the Clinic. The staff attended to me very politely and were well trained. I could also see that they have the latest equipments. The initial screening was done systematically
I also observed that the staff could converse with the patients in all Southern languages apart from English and Hindi which is an added advantage to the patients. When I met Dr Ashish Kumar he explained to me in detail about the present condition of the Cataract and advised to go for the surgery. He cleared all my doubts about the surgery and took ample time to attend to me. I could see that he is a Doctor with full confidence and experience in the field. As advised by him I underwent Cataract surgery for left eye on 12th April and on 18th for right eye. The Doctor performed the surgery with ease and efficiently and was keeping me informed of what he was doing at every stage of surgery. He gives more importance for the cleaning of eye before and after surgery which ensures that you dont have any post operative problems and the recovery is fast. Now my vision is very clear thanks to Dr Ashish Kumar for advising me to go for Multifocal Lenses though it is slightly costly. Right from day one of the surgery I did not not have any problem and strictly follow the instructions of the Doctor and the credit goes to Dr Ashish Kumar and his team.
