I came across Dr. Gubbi’s clinic on Google itself. Reading the many positive reviews, I decided to go to him despite the fact that it was farther away from the many other, relatively nearer Doctors. I am writing this review for the benefit of the reader so that he may, on the basis of this genuine, impartial feedback if not a review, refer Dr. Gubbi. I have had 2 appointments with him and he is a jovial yet patient Doctor. He greeted me enthusiastically which made my job as a patient easier to convey my problems. There are very few Doctors who make eye contact with their patients, Dr. Gubbi is one of them. He attentively listened to all my problems. He then went on to tell me what the problem was, what medicine he was prescribing and more importantly told me what the medicines would actually do in order to cure my problem. Never have I ever met a Doctor explain the whole process so simplistically as if more than the disease, the patient was the priority. I was given a weeks time for a follow-up in case my situations didn’t improve. The medicine worked wonders initially. Though he advised me to get back via whatsapp message or facetime so that I don’t have to physically be present, I decided to meet him in person. He changed my medication and after a few personal dietary changes along with those medicines, I am doing well. I recommend Dr. Gubbi for his professionalism and medical ethics. Just a humble submission to anyone visiting him, his consultation fee for the followup is less within the time-period of 7 days from the day of first appointment. This means that if you see him for followup after 7 days, you will be charged the same amount as you were for the first appointment.. . To avoid the hassle, I would request you to get the followup on whatsapp or through video calling. I hope this helps anyone in distress.
Thank you.

I was suffering from severe gastric issues not being able to resolve after consulting many doctors who always insisted I come to their hospitals. With the outbreak of COVID and many hospitals having turned into COVID Hospitals, I was very scared of visiting hospitals.
That's when, I googled T** **** ****************** ** ********* *** ***** *** ******* ****** I called the number and Dr. Aravind Gubbi himself answered the phone and was very very friendly. He patiently listened to my problems and requested me to visit his Clinic in Vijayanagar.
Visited Dr. Aravind Gubbi for the first time after seeing his reviews.
He examined me and performed Upper GI Endoscopy and detected the actual problem in my Stomach which were Erosions turning into Ulcer. He took a biopsy and sent for Histology examination that turned positive for H Pylori infection.
Dr. Aravind Gubbi sent me the report over email and immediately summoned me and started treatment for H Pylori. Took the medicines for 14 days and could see a phenomenal improvement in my symptoms.
Making a Correct Diagnosis is so important and for which, we have to meet a correct Doctor who shows enormous patience and understanding and spend time with the patient.
That's what I saw in Dr. Aravind Gubbi.
Additionally, he's one and only doctor today who follows up the patient over phone and insisting not to visit his Clinic for follow up.
Thank you so much Doctor Aravind Gubbi.

Long story short, I recommend Dr. Aravind for any gastrointestinal issues you are undergoing through. He treats his patients well in all aspects, and isn't just a good doctor but is also a good human being. I've undergone colonoscopy at the center and was diagnosed to have inflammations in my large intestines. He, explained me the report, prescribed the right medications, and also patiently explained the side effects of the medication provided, if any, and was also assisting me over phone calls during the duration of the treatment.
For the detailed review, please read on.
I had developed digestive disorders a year earlier due to irregular food habits I developed as I was working in remote areas as a validation engineer. With the travel time, it was very usual for me to skip more than one meal a day for a span of few months, giving me peptic ulcers(diagnosed with an endoscopy elsewhere).
Even after taken medication for the issue for 3 months, the symptoms(burning, acidic reflux, bitter saliva, etc) didn't go away.
The doctor I consulted back then referred me to an endocrinologist saying I have thyroid issue.
I consulted the endocrinologist who dismissed that I had any thyroid issue after tests and I went back to another gastroenterologist.(Tip and my learning: Thyroid issue is found out by a blood report that gives you T3, T4, TSH levels. Unless and until all 3 are abnormal you don't have thyroid issue. Just if something is abnormal, then its usual vitamin issue, don't take steroids and medication unless you get this clarified. I am grateful to the endocrinologist I referred to)
In the mean time I developed an abscess in the abdomen for which I had to undergo a minor surgery, as recommended by the doctor. I had to visit a hospital wherein I got the abscess removed, and the antibiotics I had taken in the process solved my symptoms.
Until now I was taking care of expenses by medical insurance given by the company. Since it was still the early days of my job, I had decided to quit and study further for competitive exams since that was ideal time to do so, while i recuperate from the issue(I am 23). I did not foresee what was coming.
Within a month after my last day, I started to have bloating and loose stools along with heavy weight loss. The overall weight I lost until this point since the beginning would be 17-18 kgs.
I again visited a hospital, but I must add, by this point, I had visited 1 general physician, two gastroentrologist, 1 endocrinologst, a surgeon, and now here. And I know, how valuable it is for a doctor to be polite and understanding towards the patients. Its very rare to find such(It's not that the above mentioned weren't so, and I will in fact be indebted to the endocrinologist forever to not take the blood report for granted and explaining me everything, but I was slowly wearing out.)
Now the corporate hospital I visited, looked at my symptoms(gastroentrologists again), and recommended me a colonoscopy. Since I had no insurance now, I had to pay. Now here, the doctors were...extremely rude. Also, I paid a whopping 9k cautionary for anesthesia that I did not require. Since its cautionary, do the refund it? obviously no. Why would they. I got into a verbal argument with them and just left. Its not that I couldn't afford it, I was just irritated.
I went for alternative medication in homeopathy and it had helped me reduce burning that I had, although it took 3 months and the bowel disorders were just the same. I had lost 20 kgs by now. But the bigger problem in this span was the aversion I had towards doctors to have made me a lab rat.
Finally, at some point I looked into practo reviews which mentions how good this doctor is with patients. I thought I will consult him ones, and within 2 weeks from that point, I was feeling better already.
Some more key things, he did not jump to any conclusions with any diagnosis, he wanted to get an over perspective of things and had made me undergo some blood tests and diagnosed me to have vitamin deficiency(->tip: excessive antacids cause vitamin deficiency, don't go for alternate sources blindly like how I went for homeopathy, always know what you are going through)
He treated me for vitamin deficiency as well, and was kind and supportive and was a good human, which is rare quality to find in doctors these days. I chose to follow up the matter with him and will continue to do so.
Visited For Fungal InfectionUlcer
There might be many good/best doctors for gasteroentology but with below points I can recommend to others.
1 - He will communicate in phone and good part is that if there is a doubt and serious issue is there then he will phone you as well. This kind of support I didn't get any where. Many doctors refuse to give number and do not even care after visit in hospital is finished.
2 - Explains clearly and he will not hesitate if we ask N number of questions.
3 - He has lot of experience due to number of cases handling and he takes case as a challenge if new thing comes. I guess he keeps reading/upgrading skills.
4 - He will try to build confidence and positive mind with some motivation or other.
Coming to the issue he has thoroughly examined and ruled out all choices and narrowed to actual issue. He has lot of patience because my case I know I was bothering him out of fear and he was building confidence.
The best route to visit the doctor is get down Vijayanagar metro and from there its 5 mins walk able.
Visited For Piles TreatmentHemorrhoidsHemorrhoids TreatmentPiles Surgery
I like to share my exp with Dr. Aravind Gubbi. I visited this doctor with piles complaint which I had for many years... he examined me initially and recommended to come empty stomach for a colonoscopy next day. I came next day morning empty stomach and got a very clear colonoscopy done. He showed me the colonoscopy video on his computer and explained me the situation and recommended to go for a hemorrhoidectomy surgery. He spoke very promisingly and my fear came little down and I had got full confidence in him. hence I decided to go for surgery with him. He promised me that it just takes 3 days for recovery and I can resume working after 3 days.. I took time (about a month) to mentally prepare myself and also did some google search about this doctor and surgery etc.. Over all review about this doctor (he had oly review for consultation) was good and hence I decided to go for a surgery with him without a second opinion. I called up him in his mobile and he gave me a date. I checked about the cashless facility but he asked me to pay and then reimburse it. So I decided to go as per his advice and he asked me to get admitted before 6 AM at Sahana hospital (kengeri) where he had some kind of connection(I'm not sure what is his relationship with the hospital).
As per plan I reached the hospital early morning with my wife and kid in a taxi. They asked me to pay advance before going for surgery and they accepted only cash(my wife had to find some atm near by and get cash). There was a technician who did my pre-operative procedures and he was really nice and helpful... I was taken to the operation theater (the theater was old, unhygienic and equipment were rusted) and after arrangements are made the technician called this Dr and he came directly to the theater. I was given anesthesia and operation were completed quickly and dr left immediately after surgery. I was taken to ICU post operation and they told me they will discharge me on the same day at 9 pm itself (in 12 hours of surgery). When my wife spoke to the technician we found that the hospital was renewed and reopened recently and they did not have a nurse to keep me watching over night and hence they asked me to get admitted early morning and are discharging me on the same day. The technician had to remove the pack from my rectum before discharging me at night 21:15. Post surgery there was no proper response from doctor. I went back home in a taxi lying on the back seat.
Post surgery after four days I started having severe pain and started bleeding. I could not pass stool. Every day morning I literally cried with pain in my bathroom and I spend almost two hours in the bathroom. I visited this doctor again and he did dialect my rectal area, but the situation did not improve. All my leaves got elapsed and I was in bed for 42 days in pain. There was no proper response from Dr even after repeated calls to his mobile. Only receptionist picks up the call and asks for 10 mins, but tat 10 mins never came... My bleeding never stopped for 42 days and I was mentally stressed before I had to go to my hometown and check with another surgeon.
He told me that all this trouble is because the pack was removed early and they should not have discharged me on the same day.
Now the problem has started recurring after six months of surgery. I will Never recommend this doctor. For God sake, think twice before going for a surgery with him...

Hi, am reposting my feedback as per the instruction from Practo customer support as they do not have an option to reply on a doctors response for your feedback. This was my earlier feedback which practo was published.
I would like to explain here about the bitter experience I had with Mr Aravind Gubbi. I took my mom to him for Abdominal pain and vomitting, we went around 9:30 am, when we explained the problem he suggested for an endoscopy and he asked us to come in the evening. So we again went at around 5PM. He did endoscopy and said he could see a growth along lesser curve and it could be cancerous cells. I got scared and agreed for all the tests and scans he prescribed. and please note that he sent us to a particular laboratory for his choice for all the tests, even though there are better labs nearby. When I asked he said that lab will give proper result ( I have no idea when the labs are started giving customised reports) and after all the tests and scans he said it's confirmed she has got cancer and it's almost reached 3 rd stage, and he said we will do a surgery very soon and he suggested very next monday ( results came on a Friday) and asked me to arrange 5 lacks for the surgery. When I asked again and again he said it's already late if you don't do the surgery now we can not save her. And he said max we can do it for 4.5 lacks and he listed out all the major hospital names and said will do in these hospitals, where to go that we can choose. I said I will take her to my native and will go for a second opinion. He laughed at me and said the results are prepared by number one pathologists in Bangalore, wherever you go the result will be same. The same day i took her to my hometown and showed her there. They also did some tests and scan and by God's grace the doctor confirmed that she is perfectly fine they did endoscopy for 4 times in 2 weeks. I have no idea why Dr. Gubbi's report said my mom is having stage 3 cancer. It's a humble request to you sir, before going for surgery for any patient please please go for a second opinion. * *** ** **** ****** ** *** ****** ** *** *** * ***** ** **** **** ** **** *** **** ** *** **** **** ****** ** *** ******** **** ** * ********** ****** **** ** ** * **********.\n\nSir, if you feel that I am lying, please revert to me. I can show you all the proofs.\n\nThanks.
Edit:- 1. Dear sir, you were addressing me as anonymous in your reply even though i have uploaded the solid proof ( your endoscopy report with Patient ID in it). If you couldn't see that please find the patient ID here - 2971102017. As all of us are aware Practo will share the person's identity with doctor( they have mentioned it in the feedback page), i have no idea why did you addressed me as ANONYMOUS.
2. You were telling that you won't operate for Cancer. But you said it on my face when i asked you who will be doing the surgery- that you are a surgeon and you will be doing it with help of an oncologist's in any of the well known hospitals in Bangalore and you named some hospitals as well.
3. And these are not ACCUSATION or ALLEGATION but are real fact i have faced. and sir, you said the cost of the surgery i can not believe how could some one deny the things he actually did. you clearly said it on my face that the procedure will cost 4.5 lacks.
4. I was keep on contacting practo support to enable the reply option under your response, but they do not have that option.
I can produce the below for your reference if you need.
Endoscopy result which is duly signed by you and result from other hospital for the same patient.
Scan result, blood results,etc..

Doctor,
I brought my mother Rani on 22nd Dec 2021 and gave you a verbal background ,despite the patient being right infront of you .
You did not examine her nor enquired for her past reports.
You jumped on your diagnosis ** **** ** ****** ********* " Antral Gastritis and Duodentis".
On the 1st visit itself , you suggested an endoscopy for the upper GI .
We agreed and endoscopy was performed on 25th Dec 2021 ,anticipating you will find the problem .
However , you cited red patches in antrum and duodenum and suggested a biopsy on them to rule out the infection by H.pylori.
Biopsy results on 27th Dec revealed no existence of H.pylori.
In the meanwhile , you asked us to get Chest CT scan and Abdomen CT scan (IV & Oral contrast) and insisted we get the report done by Dr.Raghu at Spectrum.
With no questions , we got the CT scans done on 26th Dec 2021.
Again in the CT scan , doctor had no specific findings inclusive of H.pylori.
with all these, what is your diagnosis ? I am still wondering ,with all these done , what is your diagnosis? we are left no where !!!
**** ********* **** ********* ******* * ** ***** *** *** **** *** ******************** * ****************** ******* ** ********* * ****** *** ** **** ******* * ******** ** ******* *** ********* *
Please provide a clear explanation as to why these were performed before your initial diagnosis .
The turbulence and the anxiety we have gone through since we visited you is unexplainable !
To top it , we spent Rs3750 (endoscopy)+Rs5000(biopsy)+Rs12500(CT scans)!!!!!
Even before we can see you in your clinic , you collect your fee of Rs750 , this is strange.
When i write an email asking for a justification , you don't ,instead write long text messages and insist i pick your call .***** ******* * ****** ************* * ********* ******* ************ * *** *** ****** ** ****** *** *** *** ********* ******* * **** ****** **** ******** *********** **** **** * ****** ** ****** ************************************* ****** * ******* ******* ** **** ********* *** ********* *

There are times when I don't even learn my lessons the hard way ....despite running into hospitals so often, I take life too light..the chalta hai attitude.
The last 4-5 months have been miserable on the health front not knowing what is really wrong...unable to find out what the issue is...I still pulled along work (I'm sure I have a whole lot of angry parents on my list for being irregular, cancelling out sessions....and what not)
Today after so long...I feel I've seen light .
Thanks to Dr Aravind Gubbi for being so patient, kind, warm and just everything in listening to me.
The biggest mistake I've been making all along was the kind of food I've been eating..(Eating out/eating junk and just everything that would never agree with my system and all this after losing the gall bladder and still not being cautious)
All he told me was to make changes in dietary plans and exercise. No tests at all...I am glad I made a visit to his clinic....I feel no fear of tests and just a few changes will help me be on the right track...
Thank You Dr Aravind Gubbi..you've been a blessing and appa and amma are just so relieved after meeting you :)Ever so grateful !!!

Visited For Gastritis Treatment
Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for moneyWait time
Though I happen to commute in the same road everyday, had hardly observed this Clinic. Thanks to Practo!! When I searched for the **** doctor for Gastritis in Vijaynagar, I found this.
In my first visit, Dr.Aravind Gubbi keenly listened to my health issue, asked lot many questions which I suppose every doctor has to infact to get a clear picture of illness & then said he would do an endoscopy just to ensure what he had diagnosed was right. He does endoscopy with such an ease, I heard him saying he does more than 20 per day! He knows what he is doing & that is the most important part. After my first consultation, he said that the following consultations would be on phone unless you are needed for further treatment. I was surprised when he said that if you have to again meet him in person, then you will have to again pay for the consultation charges, rather make a call & avoid wasting time & money! Impressed!!
He always stressed on eating habits. Should have breakfast by 8 AM, lunch by 1 PM & dinner by 7:30 PM. Following this pattern with regular exercises would heal most of the health issues.
Am very much satisfied with the treatment.
Thank you Practo & Thank you Dr. Aravind Gubbi.
** ** *** ** *** **** ******************** * **** **** **** Everything goes smooth from setting up appointment, consultation and check up process..
He is super warm and a thorough gentleman..The best part in him was he tendered an apology even for a slight delay in the appointment schedule.
He has lot of patience, listens to patient problem to every detail and fills in lot of confidence..He clearly explains everything he does from examination, treatment, medication to diet etc.. All the above qualities made me feel lot better and overall resulted in proper diagnosis and right treatment for me.
