Some background on the disease :

Molluscum contagiosum is a skin infection that is caused by a virus. The virus, called the molluscum virus, produces benign raised lesions, or bumps, on the upper layers of your skin.

The small bumps usually are painless. Molluscum contagiosum is spread by direct contact with the lesion of an infected person or by contact with a contaminated object such as towels or piece of clothing.

My Case :

I got infected on my private parts because I use to take showers at a gym and use towels provided by them. I got two painless pink bumps on my private part due to the infection. I got worried because I thought it's an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease).

Experience with the Dr. Anitta :

I felt really comfortable discussing and talking my problems with her. She is extremely friendly and very good at counselling. She recommended me STD profile test and all of them resulted negative. She diagnosed my problem quickly after physical observation.

The diagnosis was followed by a manual surgical treatment next day and medication for two weeks. I was able to get rid of those bumps now.

Extremely happy because I got rid of the infection and the extreme comfort I received due to the counselling and friendly nature of Dr. Anitta.

I want to highlight this point that being a male I was extremely apprehensive going to a female doctor for this treatment but she is true professional and helped me be comfortable with the treatment and everything.

Also, I was not judged by her anytime while I was explaining my case to her in detail.

Highly recommend her for any skin related issues.

I visited Dr. Anitta primarily for DPN removal. These are small black raised lesions that you find on face/neck/back in mostly Asian and African populations (This is what Morgan Freeman has!) Some people refer to them as warts in a not-so-technically-correct way. I visited her clinic in New Bel Road. When I visited her, the clinic was very basic, with no frills. She was extremely friendly; talked about DPNs and whether or not there is a need to remove them. Also, she answered my questions about their cause, spread and treatment. She suggested chemical cautery as the appropriate treatment for my concern. However, she did not have the required chemicals ready then. She promised to prepare them and call me back for the procedure. At this juncture, I want to note 2 suggestions: (1) I was not informed of the more expensive, faster healing and not-available-in-her-clinic laser cautery procedure and (2) I did not get the treatment for my concern in my 1st consultation. To be fair to her, she did not charge me for the 1st consultation. I must mention that besides these small flaws, I really took to her since she was very considerate of my complaints and made me feel at home. I fixed up a second appointment for the procedure. The procedure was fairly simple. She was quite focused and carried out the chemical cautery in a diligent way (Except at a single place where the chemical was used a tad-bit-much and resulted in a slightly bigger scar than was needed). The charge for the procedure was nominal. She also advised me on what to expect during the following week and briefed about the post-care. She also checked on how I was doing post my procedure. After about 2 months since the procedure, I can confidently say that the DPNs are all gone and the scars have almost faded out. I highly recommend her since she listens to your concerns, makes the right diagnosis, plans out the procedure diligently, arrives at a comprehensive and holistic treatment plan and executes them. Very important!!!! First and foremost when u see the doc u should feel confident about the treatment. Found some confidence after seeing the Doctor as my previous docs were like patients for treatments or needed some treatment ;) So after seeing her felt good n confident that I may recover from acnes n pigmentation I m suffering from :)

Very different from the ones compared to the previous Dermatologist I have been. A good experience as Doc was able to explain the issues I was facing and also suggested medicines which is within the limits. No unwanted peels,derma-roll and creams suggested.

So far its been 2 days I have visited , feeling better after the medication. Hope to review more once I m done with the treatment for 30 days...

These are not my reviews but my opinion on the Doctors treatment. Perception may differ but from my experience where I have visited 12 Dermatologist, I feel she is very good and nice.
