Some background on the disease :

Molluscum contagiosum is a skin infection that is caused by a virus. The virus, called the molluscum virus, produces benign raised lesions, or bumps, on the upper layers of your skin.

The small bumps usually are painless. Molluscum contagiosum is spread by direct contact with the lesion of an infected person or by contact with a contaminated object such as towels or piece of clothing.

My Case :

I got infected on my private parts because I use to take showers at a gym and use towels provided by them. I got two painless pink bumps on my private part due to the infection. I got worried because I thought it's an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease).

Experience with the Dr. Anitta :

I felt really comfortable discussing and talking my problems with her. She is extremely friendly and very good at counselling. She recommended me STD profile test and all of them resulted negative. She diagnosed my problem quickly after physical observation.

The diagnosis was followed by a manual surgical treatment next day and medication for two weeks. I was able to get rid of those bumps now.

Extremely happy because I got rid of the infection and the extreme comfort I received due to the counselling and friendly nature of Dr. Anitta.

I want to highlight this point that being a male I was extremely apprehensive going to a female doctor for this treatment but she is true professional and helped me be comfortable with the treatment and everything.

Also, I was not judged by her anytime while I was explaining my case to her in detail.

Highly recommend her for any skin related issues.

I visited Dr. Anitta primarily for DPN removal. These are small black raised lesions that you find on face/neck/back in mostly Asian and African populations (This is what Morgan Freeman has!) Some people refer to them as warts in a not-so-technically-correct way. I visited her clinic in New Bel Road. When I visited her, the clinic was very basic, with no frills. She was extremely friendly; talked about DPNs and whether or not there is a need to remove them. Also, she answered my questions about their cause, spread and treatment. She suggested chemical cautery as the appropriate treatment for my concern. However, she did not have the required chemicals ready then. She promised to prepare them and call me back for the procedure. At this juncture, I want to note 2 suggestions: (1) I was not informed of the more expensive, faster healing and not-available-in-her-clinic laser cautery procedure and (2) I did not get the treatment for my concern in my 1st consultation. To be fair to her, she did not charge me for the 1st consultation. I must mention that besides these small flaws, I really took to her since she was very considerate of my complaints and made me feel at home. I fixed up a second appointment for the procedure. The procedure was fairly simple. She was quite focused and carried out the chemical cautery in a diligent way (Except at a single place where the chemical was used a tad-bit-much and resulted in a slightly bigger scar than was needed). The charge for the procedure was nominal. She also advised me on what to expect during the following week and briefed about the post-care. She also checked on how I was doing post my procedure. After about 2 months since the procedure, I can confidently say that the DPNs are all gone and the scars have almost faded out. I highly recommend her since she listens to your concerns, makes the right diagnosis, plans out the procedure diligently, arrives at a comprehensive and holistic treatment plan and executes them. Very important!!!! First and foremost when u see the doc u should feel confident about the treatment. Found some confidence after seeing the Doctor as my previous docs were like patients for treatments or needed some treatment ;) So after seeing her felt good n confident that I may recover from acnes n pigmentation I m suffering from :)

Very different from the ones compared to the previous Dermatologist I have been. A good experience as Doc was able to explain the issues I was facing and also suggested medicines which is within the limits. No unwanted peels,derma-roll and creams suggested.

So far its been 2 days I have visited , feeling better after the medication. Hope to review more once I m done with the treatment for 30 days...

These are not my reviews but my opinion on the Doctors treatment. Perception may differ but from my experience where I have visited 12 Dermatologist, I feel she is very good and nice.

I visited Dr.Anitta during my summer break with my acne problem. My face was filled with tiny pimples and would increase one by one and would just not go away. I was having serious dandruff problem for more than two years. I went to Dr. Anitta and explained my situation and the total disappointment about how many doctors could not cure it at all. I told her all the previous medications I took and the side-effects I got (like grey hair). She explained that dandruff can only be kept in control and suggested a clinical shampoo which was mild on my scalp. After a month of usage, I have very little dandruff now. I highly recommend consulting Dr.Anitta for anyone having a skin problem.

My experience was really great! I was suffering from pigmentation from past 8 years and had visited many doctors and finally I had given up on it. Somehow I happened to go to Dr. Anitta's, she's very attentive, makes you feel comfortable, understands the problem well, probes well on our lifestyle and accordingly prescribes the medicine. She explains you everything well like the precautions you have to take, how to use the medicines and how long the treatment may take. The results are really great. I would strongly recommend Dr. Anitta.

What I liked most about Dr. Anitta was her holistic approach to my acne issue. She had for me diet prescriptions in addition to medication, which is great, because most allopaths dismiss altogether how much food has to do with our well-being. She was also careful with dosage, not going overboard to ensure quicker and surer results. In addition to all of this, she is clear in her advice and listens when you want to talk.

Very cool Doctor, has good knowledge and is friendly, makes feel extremely comfortable in discussing the problem. Takes step by step approach to understand the issues and makes sure everything is set right before deciding what exactly needs to be done.

 One of the fundamental quality lacking in many doctors today is time but she spend adequate time to understand the issues and answered all the queries clearly, additional shared information which we didn’t anticipate.

Absolutely recommendable, she is best at her job without jazz. I am taking her rx however yet to see the desired results.
