Dr. Amod Nayak

Dr. Amod Nayak is an exceptional doctor. He is kind yet strict when needed. My wife, who is naturally nervous and usually anxious about doctor visits, felt completely at ease under his care. Thanks to his support and expertise, she was able to complete all her Barrage Laser appointments (performed by another doctor) and follow-ups on time. We are truly grateful for his guidance.

Sharing personal experience ~ Sep & Oct 2024: We’re all familiar with Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospital, a renowned private institution. This story is about my house help, who has been facing severe eye problems. One of her eyes has been non-functional due to an accident, possibly from her childhood. Recently, she began experiencing intense pain and sought help from government hospitals. After several visits, she was told that her infected eye would require surgery. Despite the urgency, her treatment was continually delayed.

At that point, we suggested she seek a second opinion from Dr. Agarwal's, just to confirm if surgery was truly necessary. She did, and the diagnosis came back the same—the surgery was unavoidable, and the cost would be around ₹1 lakh ( dont remember the exact amount) . The surgery involved replacing the entire eye along with the socket, a cost far beyond her financial means.

During a regular check-up, my spouse brought her case to Dr. Amod Nayak, the doctor we usually visit, though we had little expectation that he could assist in any significant way. To our surprise, Dr. Nayak took a genuine interest. After reviewing her case, we explained her situation, both medical and financial. He simply smiled and said, “We’ll do what we can to help, and together, she’ll be alright.”

He asked us to visit again and asked us to bring her in so he could explain the situation directly to her. I had prepared her beforehand, so she understood his advice. Dr. Nayak patiently explained the details and reasoning behind the cost. During that visit, he had already reduced the initial cost and ensured that she received special time slots, even when he wasn’t seeing other patients.

Dr. Nayak went above and beyond, speaking to the surgeon personally and arranging a package that was far more affordable than we had initially expected. He also made sure that all the doctors and hospital staff involved were fully aware of her case and the importance of the surgery.

Thanks to this exceptional support from the hospital, and with contributions from a few of us, she was able to undergo the surgery successfully. She’s now in the recovery phase, and we’re incredibly grateful. While I understand not every case receives this kind of attention, she was truly fortunate.

Doctors like Dr. Amod Nayak restore our faith in humanity and remind us of the goodness that still exists in the world.

For us, she is our house help—we know her, and we wanted to do whatever little we could to alleviate her pain. There was no obligation for Dr. Nayak to extend himself this much, yet he did, and we can’t thank him enough. For her, he’s like an angel sent by the almighty, and she shared those feelings with us.

Also, would like to mention about the team of doctors and hospital staff who supported through out.

The doctor was decent , but was forced to buy medicine from their pharmacy. The medicine provided was about to expire. When I complained, they told they can't refund anymore. Waited 2 hours.

Very bad experience. They charge for everything and for getting money in specs they tell u have more sight, because of which u have to change ur regular glasses

visited doctor for the cataract surgery of my dad who is 76 years old. Got my dad's catarct surgery done effortlessly inspite him having prior multiple ailments suffered by my dad, namely heart issue Bp and sugar.Doctor is very experienced and because of my Dad"s condition , the surgery was done using only anaesthetic drops. there was no post complication and surgery was completed with 15 minutes.would recommend the doctor highly due to his experience and nature.thanksAshok

I can't believe such nice doctors like Mr Amod Nayak, Ms Deepika exist in today's world. At such nominal fees, they are giving excellent care at Dr Agrawal eyc hospital, whitefield. Please keep doing the good work. It was a very pleasant experience to go to this hospital after being through expensive city like Delhi.

I went for my mother's cataract surgery which's done by lady Doctor which idont remember her Name. It was a good experience everything  was smooth and comfortable.Very systematic checkups, all the checkups done by assistants followed by the doctors.one thing which i really liked was the doctors speak/trying to speak kannada which i appreciate. talking in local language helps patients to understand better.

We visited Doctor Amod Nayak sir for my mother Eye cataract surgery and Glaucoma treatment. His conversation towards patient will make patient loose fear and it was an awesome experience. Operation went successful and my mother eye is better now having better vision after surgery. Thanks sir for your kind words towards patient n make them strong . I went to Dr. Aggarwal Eye Hospital Whitefield, Bangalore for my eye check up. Dr. amod Nayak sir did that investigation to the best of his ability. He explained everything to me thoroughly. He is very efficient I feel quite good I must say he is an expert in his field. Very efficient, confident, polite and caring doctor. Highly recommend him.
