Sorry for a long post, but Dr Abhishek quite literally helped me get my life back, and I want this review to accurately reflect that.Since at least three years ago, I had developed a strong aversion to everything in life and disliked doing anything. ** ****** ****** ******** so I had no reason to believe that there was anything wrong with my health. ** *** ****** ****** **** ** ****** ***** **** **** ********* ** *** ** ******** *** ** ************* ********** ********** ******* ***** * *** ******* * *** ********** *********I first reached out to a psychologist at MindfulTMS who referred me to a psychiatrist (Dr Abhishek) for treatment. I began my treatment in January of this year (around 10 months ago).When I first approached Dr Abhishek, I did not even expect anything to come out of this appointment, since I did not even know that there could be anything wrong in the brain ******** ********* **** *** ****** **** ** **** ******** ****** ******** *** *** ********* **** **** **** *** * ****** ***** ** ******* ***** **** ******Dr Abhishek listened to me very carefully and took time to explain various chemicals in the brain and what they are responsible for. Not only did he diagnose correctly that my brain needed more serotonin and norepinephrine, but also calmed me down by telling me that it's normal for this to happen. He is the one who first made me realize that this was an ailment, which could be cured.He put me on SNRIs, explained exactly what they were meant to do, exactly how he envisioned them working for me, and addressed my concerns as a first time mental health patient (including concerns around side effects etc).I had monthly appointments with him at first, where he listened to the progress and decided on the dosage. Over time, I started feeling more involved in life. For example, I started once again getting excited for parties or getting involved in heated political discussions. Most of all, I found my long lost vigor towards work. I started seriously getting my career back on track by keeping my focus on upskilling myself, even when I was unemployed. Compared to before, this was an unbelievable improvement.Later on, Dr Abhishek reduced the frequency of my visits to once every 45 days, since I had been improving well. I got a new job after 6 months of unemployment (my second unemployment stint) this October. Following this, Dr Abhishek started tapering off my medication and it is now fully stopped.My life is far from perfect at this point - but thanks to the treatment, I feel much better equipped to handle the difficulties now. Earlier, a small problem made me want to end my life. Now, I have the energy, capacity and vigor to take on the biggest challenges. And I have Dr Abhishek to thank for it.After 10 months of treatment, my file as a patient is now permanently closed. I have contacted Dr Abhishek Nagakumar in Mindful Neuro care, whitefield in last June when I was having severe anxiety and that was effecting even Sleep. He has thoroughly listened to me and concluded its Illness Anxiety disorder. He has started medication and also suggested to take RTMS for 30 days. While continuing medication, i have completed 30 days RTMS sessions under guidance of Psychologist Navya and with assistance of Nivedita. After that could see my anxiety is completely gone. My Confidence level is increased and fear, Tension are completely gone. Currently my Medication is trimmed after seeing positive results.
