I visited the Gleneagles hospital for a knee injury. After my first consultation was at Padma Clinic & Ortho Center, Tejaswini Nagar. The doctor there asked me to get an MRI. He told me it was a complete ACL tear and said I needed immediate surgery, even though the MRI report stated ACL partial tear. I was worried, so a friend advised me to take a second opinion from Dr. Basavaraju.
Dr. Basavaraju and his interns examined my knee for about fifteen minutes. They asked detailed questions. The doctor then sent me for an X‑ray to understand the real condition of my knee.
After the X‑ray, he told me I was absolutely fine and that there was no need for surgery. He spent more than twenty minutes explaining my condition and restored my confidence. I am truly grateful to him and his team.
He explained things clearly. He told me that what I need right now is to strengthen my leg muscles. He advised exercises and stretching for recovery. His guidance was practical and reassuring.

This Doctor is awesome. We have done Total knee replacement for my mother 4 years ago for both legs. Now for my mother in law too for one leg. The care and concern shown by the doctor is worth Mentioning. His team also so good enough that the patients are so convenient. He treats his patients as guests.

Had knee joint replacement of my grand mother who is around 75 done by the doctor , he patienly explained everything about the surgery and convinced my grand mother to get the surgery done, the surgery was done without any problems and post operative care was also very good and he would personally see that the patient does the exercises. Highly recommended.
