He did his MBBS from S Nijalingappa Medical College, Bagalkot and MD in Internal Medicine from Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore. He later completed Dr.N.B in Medical Gastroenterology from Narayana Health City, Bangalore. Dr Amarnath is an expert in independently performing various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures like upper GI endoscopy, Colonoscopy, variceal and hemorrhoid banding, PEG Insertion, polypectomy, management of GI bleeding, liver and pancreatic diseases among others.
