I had been suffering from a swallowing problem for almost 1 year, so I visited Apollo Hospital, Jayanagar, to consult a gastroenterologist. I was referred to Dr. Parvesh Kumar Jain, and meeting him was a turning point in my treatment.
When I met Dr. Parvesh Kumar Jain, I started explaining my swallowing problem. He listened very carefully, asked a few detailed questions, and then explained the possible issues I might be facing. I was surprised because, just from my symptoms, he was able to describe many of the problems I had been experiencing over the past year.
He suggested an endoscopy and clearly explained the procedure and what they would examine. My endoscopy was performed by him without sedation, *** * **** *** ** *** ***** ***** *** ***** **********. He also took a biopsy, and the report came back normal — there was no cancer, no ulcer, and no infection. However, he suspected tightness in the lower esophageal sphincter and suggested another test called esophageal manometry. He explained the procedure in detail, and his reassuring words gave me courage to undergo the test.
As he expected, the report confirmed Achalasia Cardia. He explained the disease very clearly and discussed three treatment options: balloon dilation, laparoscopic surgery, and POEM (Per Oral Endoscopic Myotomy). He recommended the POEM procedure because it is minimally invasive and offers a long-term solution.
About one month ago, I underwent the POEM procedure under the guidance of Dr. Parvesh Kumar Jain and his team, including Dr. Kumarswamy and Dr. Nithin. The surgery went smoothly, and my recovery has been very good. Now I am able to eat and swallow without difficulty, which has greatly improved my quality of life.
I would also like to appreciate the excellent hospitality at Apollo Hospital, Jayanagar. The nursing staff were very kind, attentive, and supportive throughout my stay. They took good care of me and made me feel comfortable during recovery.
I would like to express my special thanks to Dr. Parvesh Kumar Jain for his continuous guidance before, during, and after the procedure. His kindness, patience, and experience gave me confidence during a difficult time. Truly, Dr. Parvesh Kumar’s words can heal.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the treatment and care I received, and I strongly recommend Dr. Parvesh Kumar Jain and the Apollo Hospital Jayanagar team to anyone facing similar swallowing problems.

Never visit him! He will ask you to come to his clinic where many charges will be added and he is a person who doesn't care about patient. What matters to him is 💸. He will force the patient for endoscopy even though if he knows it's of no use. Even if the patient is in a very bad state and already endoscopy has been done many times **** ******* ***** ** ****** **** **** *** **** ** ****** ********* **** *** *** ** *** **** *** ********** **** **** ******* ***** *** ***** ** **** ******** * **** ***** ******* **** **** ** ** * * * * **
I visited Dr Jain for some general Gastroenterology issues as suggested by a general physician. He showed up 1.5 hours late to the appointment *** ***** * ************* ******* ** ** ******* Further, without much questioning about the issues, he suggested multiple tests before offering any diagnosis. Despite asking him multiple times about what issues he might suspect, he was rude and refused to answer any queries and simply pushed the procedure of an endoscopy and a CT scan.
The said endoscopy was a pricey affair carried out a few days later at his private clinic where a lot of hidden charges were added. There too, he failed to give a satisfactory explanation of the issues and refused to repeat the explanation more than once to help me understand.
The rude behaviour *** ******* ** ******* *** ******** ********* ***** put me off from recommending this doctor to anyone.
