Being in Primary care, I believe that " Prevention is better than cure". As a Head of the Department in Sagar hospitals, my role varied from treating various chronic disease, like Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma, Thyroid disorders, etc, attending to common outpatients problems like respiratory, genito-urinary ,skin conditions, screening for different cancers and adult vaccinations over the last ten years. During this time, I have also kept up-to date with this evolving field through various educational courses. After returning from USA as a research assistant in Neurosciences, I took up DNB Family Medicine in 2006. In 2014, I took up a certificate course in Rheumatology and in 2016 I finished one year Diploma course in Geriatric medicine. This year, I have enrolled in a certificate course in Mental disorders. I was the academic co-ordinator for Family medicine students in Sagar Hospitals, BSK. I have been the co-guide for many students for their thesis work. I have special interest in treating Geriatric population (60+). I have also been an avid speaker about health in various corporates and general public.
