Dr. Shalabh Sharma

Dr. Shalabh Sharma is presently practicing as a Senior Ear, Nose &Throat Consultant Surgeon at Sir Ganga Ram hospital in New Delhi. He spent some time as a Clinical Fellow at the Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland and Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast (UK). He obtained his Diploma in Laryngology and Otology (DLO) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1996 and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (FRCS) in 1997. He has received advanced training in endoscopic sinus surgery and ear microsurgery. Dr. Sharma's area of expertise is Deafness in children & adults. He received training in Cochlear Implantation at the ‘Bionic Ear Institute’ at Melbourne, Australia in 2001. Subsequently, he started the Cochlear Implant Unit at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in 2002 and has performed over 700 cochlear implant surgeries till date. This includes a large number of cases with abnormal cochleae, abnormalities of the facial nerve and many other challenging cases.
