Dr Asfia having done her master’s Degree in Psychiatry from MES Medical College has an experience over a decade. She is trained to handle all types of general/ adult psychiatry. She has been a part of many research programs. Being linguist, she is an expert in the field of Acute Care and Emergency Psychiatry, De-addiction, Child and adolescent psychiatry, Electroconvulsive therapy, Geriatric psychiatry, Psychotherapy training also done with emphasis on Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Supportive therapy, interpersonal therapy and therapy for obsessive-compulsive disorder.
