She is easily contactable, has a vast experience *** ** ****** ***************We have been consulting her for around two years now and we absolutely recommend her to anyone who is pregnant.

She has a gentle touch- where some other doctors press the stomach of the patient hard, speak rudely when asked questions and treat them like animals (based on our prior experiences), she has been kind and considerate during every single one of our visits.

Her fees are reasonable and we clearly see that her heart is to treat the patient rather than to earn her fees.

She explains every situation and informs the patient in detail before allowing them to make decisions. In situations where she will make decisions during treatment, each step is clearly explained beforehand. She even gives us a heads up on what to expect before our next visit so that we don't panic.

She is a patient, humble and kind Doctor. I've been to many who are rude and behave like they are doing you a favor but not Doctor Ritu. She is also the first Doctor that I've seen who delivers babies despite having a dislocated foot. Talk about commitment!

This Doctor encouraged me to pull through when I lost all hope and was depressed with the loss of my first baby. She calmed me whenever I would panic during pregnancy and took extra precautions and care to deliver my baby boy safely a few days ago.

Post delivery, she, on her own, remembered that I had a fungal infection on my face (though it was not visible at the time we met her) and suggested some medicines to help with it.

She does not force you to do a C-section delivery but considers it only wherever necessary. Many other doctors and hospitals push you to C-sections.

Please do not consider the "wait-time before consulting" which reflects as a part of this review form. Many patients come to visit Dr. Ritu (as is expected for such a good doctor), she opens her clinic on time and comes in on time consistently.

It is extremely rare to find a Doctor this good. We are blessed to have met her. We wish her all success in her profession and her endeavours.

We are extremely thankful to Dr. Riturparna and very happy with the care we received throughout our pregnancy journey.

i) The waiting time was reasonable, with the clinic maintaining a proper first-come, first-served system within the 30-minute slot—unlike some places where longer slots are used and patients end up waiting much more.

ii) The guidance and instructions given were always clear, detailed, and easy to follow.

iii) Her calm, caring, and patient approach gave my wife a lot of confidence and helped ease anxiety, especially around the time of delivery.

The delivery day experience deserves special mention. Everything was handled in a very organised manner, and her expertise was evident in the way she managed unexpected situations. Kudos to the team at Ovum Hospital as well. Most importantly, she stayed with us even when the dilation was delayed, which meant a lot to us.

We were blessed with our baby just a week ago.

We visited Dr. Ritu for our first pregnancy checkups. She has a modern and balanced mindset which is very reassuring. We found Dr. Rituparna in Practo only on searching for a gynaecologist for my wife(33y then) who was suffering from irregular periods.

She had great reviews but was located about 17 kms away from her home but we still decided to go ahead with her.

Our journey:

In the first visit, Dr listened to my wife’s case patiently. Dr explained how the entire process of ovulation works. More like a biology teacher with the help of some drawings. She later concluded that my wife had mild PCOS . My wife was obese and had thyroid issues. Before suggesting any medication for my wife, Dr asked her to change her lifestyle by switching to a healthy diet, workouts, stress-free life.

She did a couple more studies in the next couple of months and then told us NOT to visit for the next 6 months only to concentrate on our lifestyle.

My wife was over 95kgs. She had lost about 23 plus kgs. 12 kgs purely based on diet. Remaining 11kgs because of her gym. It took her over 1.5 years to get to a healthy state from the time we visited the doctor.

Once we changed our lifestyle, she did a few follicular studies and some minor treatment. We conceived within a few months.

As mentioned earlier, she was there in every step of our pregnancy journey. She was there in every step of the way. Right from follicular studies she did before conception. Till the delivery of the baby. She was prepping us with every single physical change that would happen to her during every month of our pregnancy. Our baby did NOT engage till the very end but Dr. Ritu monitored the baby closely. She never suggested or indicated or asked us to prepare for C-section . She was trying with us for a normal delivery till the very end.

Most of our friends and family were wondering why we chose a hospital which was so far from home and were worried. I must say if given an option we would do it all over again. These days it’s difficult to get a doctor whom we can trust. We just trusted her. Followed her instructions. Waited patiently. We saw results for our efforts.

I’ve already recommended Ritu ma’am to a couple of acquaintances of mine. Will continue to do so in my circle.
