He has been highly instrumental in conducting the statewide Newborn Health initiatives and Newborn week celebrations, in association with United Nations and NNF (National Neonatology Forum). He has successfully carried out one of the first Air transport for sick neonates in India and also, the first pediatrician to use Surfactant therapy in India. He has done India proud for having been conferred FRCPCH (London) for his profound contribution to the field of neonatology and pediatrics. Another milestone in his successful career is his role as the adviser of World Health Organization.
