My name is Deepak Kumar Mishra and I am an Ex-serviceman. I visited CMDC hospital for applying braces on my daughter's teeth on 7th January, 2019 and I was referred to ECHS polyclinic and then to empanelled hospital (Grover Medical and Dental Care) for the treatment. In ECHS polyclinic, I was informed that I do not have to pay any expenses to the empanelled hospital (Grover Medical and Dental Care) for applying braces on my daughter's teeth. When I reached there, honorable Dr. Sulabh Grover told me that he is not getting right amount of money as the treatment actually requires i.e., minimum 25000 Rs and then showed me the E-mail which he had sent to the authorities of ECHS on 3rd December, 2018 regarding his less fees and mode of payment and much more. He told me that it was not possible for him to start the treatment with such less fees and told me that I'll have pay some amount for the treatment to be started.
My concerns are:
1) If the hospital was empanelled then why I was asked to pay for the treatment?
2) The above said empanelled hospital doesn't have all the facilities required i.e., X-ray etc.( I was referred to CMDC to get X-ray)
3) Why I was asked by empanelled hospital to pay in advanced which was said to be refunded as soon as the issue will be resolved /bill approved by the Regional Office ECHS?
4) Why I was referred to empanelled hospital if the reputed CMDC was available?
My request to the respected authorities is that the treatment of my daughter should be done free of cost as promised by CMDC Lucknow as soon as possible.
