We went for marriage counseling.
He was helpful in letting us think about a few things in different ways. He gave some good options to pursue for improving one aspect of the problem.
However I felt that within 1 hr meeting with whatever he could understand about our situation, my partner felt that he was biased against her side. I think for the counselling to be helpful for us we need someone that both of us feel is unbiased. Also I guess being a psychiatrist his focus was mainly to figure out if there is some medically treatable psychiatric problem with one of us. While he did best of what he could do, we felt the 'marriage councelling' part of the service (the main reason we went to see him) could have been better.
A think about the charges. He took 1000/- instead of 700/- which was indicated on Practo website. I take responsibility of not asking him before the meeting. But Practo can update the service charges to 1000/- do as not to surprise future prospects.
Thanx for at least showing us done options where we could not find any.
