Visited Dr. Samit Satish Mehta (Neurosurgeon)
Hoped for better:Â Wait time
**Tl;dr - Extremely unprofessional staff, no emergency upgrade appointment, Horribly uncomfortable waiting chairs, lack of empathy, Don't believe what they say on online-phone appointments wrong timings are given. When reported to Doc, I was told to ignore it. Not worth it.** ####For Waiting Room,
I will highly advise to proceed with extreme caution if you are punctual about time and-or travelling from other city. Please don't trust their Phone-Online appointments at all. I was travelling to city eitherway the day before my given appointment. By appointee, I was told that all appointments are full for morning pool which is only held from 8am to 1pm. So, I took appointment for the day after, travelled again. The appointee told me I have to come between 8am and 1pm only. As I already have appointment, I will get to visit doctor as soon as possible after I reach there. When I got there at 9am, I was told I will have to wait till after 1.30pm or 2pm as I am late and didn't walk in at 7am to take in person appointment, I told them about appointment, the staff sitting on appointment desk told me there's no appointment system and you have to come here at 7am to get a number. [The correct info - Doc attends from 8am to 3pm and only walk ins appointment are valid.] I asked them why was I given wrong information and asked only to come between 8am and 1pm when I specifically told I will be travelling from another city and have no idea how Doc staff handles wait times. I asked to be given a proper time that I was promised to me on the appointment call. They were extremely unprofessional. I quote, "Do you want to see doctor or not and you will only get time after 1.30pm or 2.00pm. Else you can leave.". So, I took it, I especially travelled for it from another city and hired a private cab. Honestly, would have left if I wasn't worried about the symptoms. I work till 6 am in morning. Its not worth to travel from another city or under special circumstances. I have been suffering from extreme back pain and physical health problem too, practically haven't been able to sit, stand or lie on my back much because of pain. The first waiting room chairs are extremely uncomfortable hard metal, straight backed, 90 degrees L shape chairs, so, the back pain got triggered again in matter of minutes. I requested the staff if I can go somewhere in Hospital and wait where there is more comfortable sitting option. I quote "These are the only chairs that are available for patients, if you want to sit then sit or don't". Well, sigh. Its just not worth it if you are going to trigger your health circumstances negatively. Asked them again, I quote, "Might let you go before 1.30pm or 2pm". In all of this the worrisome thing is the main 2nd waiting room has somewhat comfortable sitiing. Doc told me to ignore his staff unprofessionalism. ######Doc seems friendly and understanding when it comes to sciences. He listened to all the worries, looked at all medical history I took with me. Answered all the questions, possibilities, what if-what not's. Will not be going again, I am going to get healed not get worse.
