I had my Thymectomy about a year ago but through Video-assisted thorascopic surgery (VATS) keyhole surgery. I was 55 years old at that time.
The primary purpose of the surgery was treating Myasthenia Gravis. As I am in IT, I also wanted the surgery to be quick, painless and safe. I wanted to be on my feet as soon as possible. I had decided to get it done by Dr Raghavendra Chikkatur due to his vast experience, excellent track-record and sound academics. Further Raghavendra is one of few doctors who is proficient in performing both open heart as well as minimally invasive surgeries.I was discharged within 48 hours. It was absolutely painless and went exactly as the doctor had briefed us prior to the operation. I had no post surgery complications as Dr Raghavendra was very patient and spent considerable time in repeatedly explaining the precautions that I should take post surgery.Based on my personal experience I would recommend Dr Raghvendra to anyone who needs to undergo similar surgery. Needless to say that you would be in very safe pair of hands with a doctor who is not only reliable but also analytical, thoughtful and caring.
