Mending Beliefs by Psychologist Sakshi Agarwal, Indiranagar

Dr. Sakshi has been my therapist for nearly six months now. I approached her to help address cyclical depression, anger management, and unhappiness with my living conditions which greatly affected my relationship with my partner. She is very easy person to talk to, and creates an atmosphere of understanding and empathy. Over time, she has helped identify key causes of my stress and guided me on the ways to address them. I find that in my day-to-day life, I’m not able to prevent emotional spirals much better than I used to, and that is largely thanks to Dr. Sakshi’s influence. I thank her for the work that she’s been doing with me and would recommend her for anyone seeking therapy.

Dr.Sakshi is patient enough to listen to the problem. She is a warm person and her very positive attitude changes the perspective. The sessions are beneficial as they bring out the true self of us when it gets cluttered due to external situations or stress. She gives exercises called emotional handouts which are very helpful in understanding the underlying emotion and addressing our fears. She is a very welcoming and kind person. Strongly recommend her.

She encourages us to keep up with good habits like Morning walks, Excercise regime, listening to music, outdoor games, and so on, especially those which help us create positive energy. I consulted her to get rid of negative and unproductive thought patterns. I still see such patterns but now I learned that I should just observe and acknowledge them and change my response towards them. I am more relaxed and feel far better now. Thanks to Sakshi.

I have been in therapy with many counsellors and can say confidently that she helped me to get better and independent in a very little time. I was diagnosed with MDD and had several anxiety attacks. She was the first therapist who helped me get to normal life with a major reduction in my meds in just 1.5 months. I love how she gives actual logic behind my fears so I can cope with them and the book references/homework that help address underlying emotions and fears.

She helped me understand the gaps in thought processes, helped me declutter the messy entangled thoughts, and gave me courage, stronger self-esteem, fewer fears, and more smiles. The therapist is punctual, she joined the session right on time. Despite my reluctance to open up to a stranger about my family problem, she was able make me feel relaxed with her icebreaking random discussions.

Once into the session, she was patient and listened to my details without much interruption except for a few poking here and there to probe more information.

Though its too early to say, but the session was quite helpful and i'm already able to see things in a better light and from a different perspective.
