Consulted Dr. Nikita Patel (Dermatologist) for Acne / Pimples Treatment
I do not recommend the doctor
Hoped for better: Value for money
It’s sad that the team running the clinic is so un organised that one doesn’t feel like visiting this place even the doctor is good. I had to book my appointment via Practo only because I couldn’t deal with the inefficiency. A simple appointment couldn’t be booked by them.
What really drove me over the edge was the fact that on my follow up visit yesterday I was about to be charged a first consultation fee. On asking why, they said that I had to visit the doctor exactly in 20 days and if I fail to do so I will charged extra. I Enquired as to why this so called rule or policy wasn’t informed to me on my first visit to which Sonali the staff there became high tempered and quote unquote said “did you ask me? Did you tell me that you are going out of town and So cannot come?” How is a patient supposed to randomly ask about policies . Patients are supposed to be informed of them. And for an unscheduled appointment since when has it become pertinent to call up and inform that I’m going out of town. This is totally unheard of and quite unnatural. Firstly there is a high fee of 400₹ for a follow. (First consult is 500₹) and then to top it there is a validity for it. I also asked that if this was such an important rule why isn’t this written on my prescriptions or put up in the clinic? What’s with the secrecy. And how in the world is a patient supposed to ever think of such a policy and ask about it?
Don’t get me wrong I was all ready to clear off my dues but the sheer talking down and disrespect shown by the staff is what broke my last straw.
On informing the doctor in a kind manner, unfortunately the doctor too was ok with losing me as their patient but didn’t show an effort to resolve the issue. My concern and complaint was. “Noted” and a take care sign off that sadly meant it’s ok if you don’t visit us again. Very sad indeed as I genuinely liked the doctor but don’t believe they are interested in customer or patients grievances but only focused on their own team member. A classic case of a team that is combined bringing the name of this doctor down.

Hi. I usually never respond to reviews .. however I do feel compelled in your case.. Genuine reviews help us to straighten up and learn from and also get encouraged.. however to use this platform just to be vengeful is gratuitous.
To call a place unorganised only because they ask you to pay consultation fees is uncalled for.
Consultation fees of Rs. 500/- and Rs 400/- is very nominal to say the least. Also, it goes without saying that you have to pay fees after every consultation. I remember when you walked in within a week of your first consultation with some nail problem (mind you not a part of the original skin issue) and we did not charge you because you came before the follow up date. We never insisted that you pay because that is our policy.
On your third visit, you just walked out of the clinic after consultation without as much asking about the fees and my staff had to call you to make the payment (which we have not yet received.. just to be clear)
This is a Doctors clinic. The ones that you have been to previously are “Beauty clinics” where the “Doctor’s” credentials are often questionable and are only interested in selling you procedures and pay through your nose. This is definitely not what me or my clinic represent. I hope we at least agree on that.
I request you to visit a doctors clinic or standard hospitals to understand the payment policies (which I assure you will vary from place to place). There is always a validity period of your consultation fees.
About the “high consultation fees” not being printed .. yes I have taken note of that so as to avoid this distasteful conversation in the future. I have been in practice for years and have never had anybody complain about paying my consultation fees! This is the first, and hopefully, the last time. This episode only makes me grateful to all my previous patients!
Its unfortunate that you felt being disrespected. I can assure you this was not the intent.
You had messaged me about your problem to which I replied to the point as possible. To visit a doctor or not is a patient’s choice. We try to give our best to every patient at every visit. Petty issues should not keep a patient genuinely interested in getting better to discontinue treatment.
Nevertheless, I hope you get better and we wish you a healthy disease free future!
