Sehgal is a medical graduate from Amritsar Medical College and pursued Masters in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy from esteemed All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. In the year 1983, his hard work finally paid off when he was made the President of IADVL. He has been a former director and professor in Dermatology. Young aspirants find his teachings invaluable.
