Dr. Bela Makhija

I first met Doctor Bela Makhija 3 years back for a routine checkup. Her views on women's health, choices and pregnancy convinced me that I would be approaching her whenever my husband and I decided to start a family ! Thanks to her, I had a normal delivery after a happy 9 months during which I had a healthy weight gain and was given no unnecessary medications or hospital visits. She made the entire time of pregnancy really comfortable for me and made me feel confident. Never made me feel panicky about anything and encouraged me to try to have a normal delivery -which is what any woman and her family would hope for during this special phase. I was admitted at 6pm and my son was born at 2am. She was there when i was admitted and also ensured to be there back at the hospital for my delivery. Her positive words and motivation kept me going through labor and my husband and I are extremely happy with our experience! My husband and I are extremely happy with our experience and would highly recommend women with any gynaec issues and expecting parents to consult her!

Getting pregnant with many health issues is a matter of concern for both mother and child.

Dr. Bela Makija keenly observed and treated issues during my precious pregnancy .

She is accessible and friendly to talk to especially treating doubts which helped us making decisions along our pregnancy.

During concerning times she cheered me and kept things in lighter perspective.

Also during my labour her guidance and experience led to a normal delivery in February 2018.

She has a maternal touch which soothes during such difficult times.

Choosing her as my doctor I feel safe, releaved and blessed.

I am writing about this review of Max Smart super specialty hospital saket delhi

This was my first pregnancy, all was right, so I chose Max Hospital. I did a regular check up with dr bela makhija in saket max smart hospital and in her guidance there was no problem till 37 weeks, infact my water level was low.

In 37 weeks I took the appointment of dr bela makhija on March 15, 2019 and Dr. told me that you should make a last ultra sound

But after the appoinment at 6 o'clock in the evening, I started to feel pain that grew very much till 10 o'clock

Then we showed up in an emergency at Max Smart Hospital from where we were sent to the labor room, at that time the 2 dr was avaialable in the labor room, after checking doctor said that it is normal pain take home and give a paracetamol, Can not admit her

But my family said that we can not take them home in this condition, you admit them or give some pain killer or some injection

But he said that we can not give them anything without admit

Then my family gave me admission and I was given a pain killer, and I was sent for ultrasound, when ultrasound department was called to dr in the labor room that you should come once but after repeated calls dr didnt come , After no ultra sound, I was sent back to the labor room

But my pain was going on increasing, and bleeding had started

And during this time doctor's behavior was unexpected, she was shouting me

Why are you crying so much here and there is more patient even though he himself was speaking loud; sometimes she would beat on the bed and sometimes come near to my face, screams to me and the nurse also told me that do not push otherwise baby will be a problem

But this pain was uncontrolled. When we asked her when regular dr will come, we were told that he can come anytime after 10 o'clock next day

As the time was getting increasing, my pain was increasing, during this time, I heard dr from Dr. Nurse saying this sign her in a paper with this. If something happens to this or her child, then we will not be responsible for it. When i said to dr that I have to go to the washroom, then go to sleep that one side. I do not want to answer back to everything, until my child's morning Heart Beat was greatly reduced by the grace of God dr bela makhija came to the hospital at 8 o'clock. And he promptly referred me to opertaion

8.33 The baby was taken out by cesarean and 2 unit blood was given to me

My child's breathing was very fast

It was kept in nicu for 5 days

Kept in nicu for 5 days

Oxygen given for 5 days

1 day child had to give antibiotics

After this I met Dr bela makhija.He told me that for some reason today it came early, or else the child could have lost his life a little longer

Next day Dr. Bela told me that we have removed those doctors, but was not true

After this, we complained of maxhealth care, after which we were called by Medical Superintendent Dr. Sahar Qureshi, who had 3 doctors from his side and 3 people from our family and those two doctors were not called in that meeting.

Dr. Sehar Qureshi tried his best to save those doctors

Dr Sahar told us that the punishment of those doctors is that they will be given extra duty, more than this we can not take any action against them.

Should such doctors get the enough punishment.

Never go to her:

Very rude *** ******** doctor. If you ask her anything, she immediately tells you in a very rude and demeaning way to stop the treatment and go to next doctor— as if you’re not allowed to ask questions. *** ******* *** ** **** ****** *** ******** Sitting in front of her felt very uncomfortable. We decided to change the doctor after the first visit itself. I strongly do not recommend her to anyone.

First meeting with her was great, she made us feel comfortable. **** ****** ******** ***** *** ***** ***** 2nd time, we booked and instead of her, some junior gave the consultation. As a benefit of doubt, i didnt do anything: third time again, my wife consultation was done by that same assistant of Hers, who sit in her cabin. This time when i complaint, she bluntly said, i was having my lunch, so didnt able to come. Also, my wife, as she was pregnant, asks for her number in case of urgency, she clearly said no. Overall, this Dr. Is not at all recommended to anyone. You pay 1000 plus fot this dr. and end up getting the consultantation from her assistant. Lucky, that i had my wife delivary in other hospital, *** **** **** * ****** ******** *** *** *** **** ***

I am never going back to Dr. Bela. I had just conceived and started bleeding in night. Went to see my doctor but since she was on leave i went for Dr. Bela. As soon as i presented my prescription, she started shouting that this is unfair and there is no such emergency, you should talk to only your doctor and I am not going to intervene. She also asked my husband that what is the emergency os she bleeding, my husband told her but then too she was not supportive and told us to get out. She did not consider my mental status due to unexpected bleedi And continued shouting. Later we approached emergency and we came to know we have lost it. She is not at all supportive and not compassionate. Being a gynecologist, i was expecting that she would understand and guide me but i will never ever visit even in crisis and never recommend her. I never met such a doctor.

Never ever visit this doctor. First of all a junior doctor always accompanied by her who do all the consultation process and she didn't even bother to listen she is busy is her phone always talking or watching videos. She never comes on time, always on leave for many days. And I dnt know about the hospital policy, no other doctor will look after you even in case of emergency. She's talks very rudely. And if you are govt. panel patients she treats you very badly, always scolding *** **** ***** ********* *** ******** Never ever visit or consult her. Bad experience ever.

She is rude and arrogant, *** ****** **** ** ******* ****** *** **** * ***** ******* I* ******* *** ** **** ******* *** no empathy towards patient or condition. I saw her for my wife and her behaviorial is completely out of line.

Dr Makhija is superb . My Son was born under her supervision at Batra Hospital in year 2006 . Later I visited her to take some gynae advise and also to get treatment for mood swings . She guided well and put me on right track
