I went to Ms. Priyanka after 8+ years of debilitating Borderline Personality Disorder on the recommendation (or rather forcefulness) of my psychiatrist.
A little background: I had been suffering from dissociative disorder since 2015 and was recently diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. Since 2015, I have had small spells of happy months and a big chunk of my illness. After a recent episode lasting months of extreme distress (panic attacks, dissociative episodes, extreme depression), I had 0 hopes of getting better. I had already been to more than 6 therapists and multiple doctors, and most of them had claimed to do CBT on me. I was very sure that it would not work. So when my psychiatrist recommended (rather forced me) to visit Ms. Priyanka, you could say I did not expect much.
During sessions: Let me begin by saying that her entire methodology is so structured and meticulous. She charts out a plan according to each client’s needs and ability. She is so well-versed in CBT, and after meeting her, I realized, yes, therapy, CBT, all of these are very, very powerful treatments. She is so empathetic, yet she will call out problematic behaviors when she sees them. Let me tell you, she will not coddle you, but she will make sure that you can think for yourself and take care of yourself. She helped me realize so many of my underlying issues and has completely transformed my thoughts, behaviors, and lifestyle. She is not forceful either; she supports and empowers. One example is that I have always wondered and blamed myself for my illness, especially since my immediate family has no such issues. She made me realize that I am a product of my genes (several of my extended family have similar disorders), nurture (she helped me realize that many of my automatic thoughts were learned very early on), and many other factors. After carefully assessing and understanding my thought process, she helped me correct and unlearn unhealthy behaviors. I am now motivated, energetic, and my mental AND physical health have improved drastically since meeting her.
Post-sessions: After having 8+ CBT sessions with her, I am quite confident that CBT is absolutely brilliant and can literally change a person. Most therapists I have been to claim to do CBT just “wing” it without any structure or progress check. Well, to be honest, most people just counsel and say “well, CBT completed.” Like I mentioned, I had been to more than 6 therapists, and while they helped me in the short run, Ms. Priyanka completely transformed my thinking style and pattern. Would definitely recommend her to anyone who is suffering.

I was suffering from stress,anxiety,I used to be very low on confidence,had negative approach towards life,wanted to be a perfectionist in everything,used to get sleep terrors. I came across Dr.Priyanka's profile through practo. In the beginning, I was very skeptical about undergoing therapy as I have been facing this issue since many years, then I took the decision to attend one session with Dr Priyanka and I had really good experience with her,she is comfortable to talk to, she is very calm listener,she analyzes our problem and helps us to overcome them, she suggested me to undergo cognitive behavioral therapy and after few sessions I noticed many changes in my behavior,my anxiety was reduced, I don't get sleep terrors now which I was facing since last 8 years,it has stopped completely. I think going to the therapy with Dr Priyanka has been the best decision of my life so far . We take our mental health for granted so much is what I have realised in the course of therapy . I think she made me really comfortable to be able to open up to her which helped me get to know about my issues that I was dealing with but never paid much attention to . The assurance that someone believes in what you have to say without being judged is what everyone needs while dealing with mental health issues and Dr Priyanka has been the best person to do that . With every session proceeding I realised so much more about myself . Priyanka ma'am was recommended by a friend to me who had taken therapy from her. i was reluctant about taking the therapy but now that i did i am extremely satisfied with it and it is a must for all the youth out there who are confused and want to change their perspective towards life.i would like to share my story.
I am a medical student(25 yrs old female) and was suffering from anxiety after a heartbreak and it eventually affected my studies to that extent that i was not able to focus on my studies at all and used to have all the depressing thoughts,insomnia,constant anxiety(which eventually affected my diet and led to various health issues),suicidal thoughts and negative thoughts about everything happening in my life. i felt like i am the most unlucky person in the world and felt stuck.
Priyanka ma'am was an amazing listener in the whole therapy and helped me step by step with all the problems i was facing. first she made me realise the anxiety i was having and made me do exercises for that. and then she made me realise about my emotions,thoughts and moods. the way she explained it to me was crystal clear. she has a lovely smile and made me realise all the things about myself with a smile.she was very punctual about the time as well.
She gave me all the time to express myself and cry about it too. i felt very much relieved after letting it out infront of her. Shes was very patient and kind with me.
i was eventually understanding the mistakes i was making and as the therapy progressed i realised that its me who can change my life.
