This being my first time in any kind of counselling, I was extremely anxious and was contemplating running away before the doctor could arrive.

But once we actually sat down, even though it was very difficult and new for me, I did end up sharing and opening up about what all was happening. Since he makes you feel so at ease and is such a friendly counselor, it does not feel like therapy. It's like chatting with someone you feel you can be friends with.
