Dr. Atul Seth

Dr. Atul Seth is an ophthalmologist in Navi Mumbai with 28 years of practice. He is a consultant at Apollo Hospitals, Belapur, and paediatric ophthalmology consultant and teaching faculty at Laxmi Eye Institute, Panvel. He has earlier been visiting consultant in squint, paediatric ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology at five eye institutes in and outside Mumbai, and has performed around 900 paediatric and adult squint surgeries since 2000 and around 50 paediatric cataract surgeries with IOL implantation.He completed his MBBS at Seth G S Medical College, Mumbai, in 1996, his DOMS at L T Medical College, Mumbai, in 1998, and his DNB in Ophthalmology from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, in 1999. He has been registered with the Maharashtra Medical Council since 1996. He has chaired the squint session at the All India Ophthalmic Society's DNB teaching programme for the west zone, is visiting faculty and examiner in paediatric optometry for the MSc optometry course at The Lotus College of Optometry, Vile Parle, was section editor for the ophthalmic infections chapter of the Atlas of Pediatric Infectious Diseases published by the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, and has published in the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology. He was part of a Rotary Club vocational training team for ophthalmologists in Ethiopia in 2015.His work covers squint and strabismus surgery, paediatric eye check-ups, paediatric cataract surgery with IOL implantation, cataract surgery including 2.2 mm phaco, glaucoma surgery, LASIK, keratoconus treatment and scleral contact lenses, eye patch therapy and vision therapy for lazy eye and double vision, and eye ultrasound.
