Description
Fixel Tablet is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It is used to treat a large variety of infections including urinary tract, ear, and lung infections caused by bacteria. Fixel Tablet kills the bacteria and stops their further growth. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Fixel Tablet can cause some side effects like weakness, headache, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhoea. Seek medical attention if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Fixel Tablet may trigger an episode of fits or seizures, so consult your doctor if you have noticed such conditions after taking this medicine. It may cause dizziness, confusion, or fits, so it is advised that you do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery after taking this medicine. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Fixel Tablet is available on prescription as a capsule, tablet, chewable, powder for suspension and syrup. Due to its once-daily dosing regime, it has become a frequent choice for all doctors and patients. It is not safe for use in children less than 6 months of age. Fixel Tablet can be taken with or without food around the same time every day. Once the antibiotic treatment is started, be sure to finish the entire course of treatment to prevent the development of antibiotic resistance. Do not take Fixel Tablet when it is not required can make it less effective for future infections. Fixel Tablet is considered safe for use in pregnant women but should be used with a doctor's prescription. It can pass through breastmilk and can cause diarrhoea in your child so it may not be recommended to be used in breastfeeding.
