Description
Evalon Forte Tablet is used for the treatment of problems arising due to diminished estrogen production after menopause (usually around the age of 50) and after surgical removal of the ovary.

Allergy

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients who have a known allergy to estriol, any estrogen products or any other ingredient present along with the formulation.

Breast cancer

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having breast cancer. It should also not be used if a patient has had breast cancer before or is suspected of having it.

Estrogen-dependent tumor

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having cancer which is attributed to abnormal levels of the hormone estrogen in the body for a prolonged duration.

Liver disease

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with liver diseases due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Unexplained vaginal bleeding

This medicine is not recommended for use if you have an abnormal episode of vaginal bleeding which was not diagnosed.

Heart and blood vessel disorder

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having a disease of the heart or blood vessels viz. deep vein thrombosis, recent heart attack, other blood clotting disorders, etc.

Endometrial hyperplasia

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with endometrial hyperplasia (a condition of excessive thickening of the womb lining) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women.

Breast-feeding

This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.
General warnings

Asthma

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with asthma due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Diabetes

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with diabetes (increased blood sugar levels) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of blood sugar levels, appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Cardiovascular risks

This medicine has been associated with an increased risk of stroke, heart attack, and other complications associated with the heart. It should be used with caution in patients having heart disease or are exposed to the risk factors.

Jaundice like symptoms

This medicine may cause yellowing of the eyes and skin due to its effect on the liver and the gall-bladder. Report the presence of any symptom indicative of jaundice to the doctor on priority. The use of this medicine should be stopped in such cases.

Gall bladder disease

The use of this medicine can increase the risk of gallbladder diseases, especially in postmenopausal women. It should be used with caution in patients suffering from a disease of the gall bladder. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.
