Description
EPSOLIN INJECTION 2 ml is an anticonvulsant used to treat severe epileptic seizures or fits (status epilepticus). It is also used to control and/or prevent seizures that may occur during or after brain surgeries or severe head injuries.

Allergy

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from heart rhythm disorders such as sinus bradycardia, sino-atrial block, second or third-degree AV-block, Adams-Stokes syndrome, etc. due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

General warnings

Blood cell count

This medicine may cause neutropenia, anemia, and aplastic anemia. Frequent monitoring of blood cell count is necessary. Any signs of low blood count should be reported to the doctor. Suicidal thoughts

This medicine may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts upon treatment. Therefore, it should be used with caution, especially in patients suffering from depression or suicidal tendencies. Skin reactions

This medicine should be used with caution since it may cause skin reactions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, Drug Reaction with Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms (DRESS), etc. in some patients. The treatment should be discontinued if any symptoms of a skin rash appear.
