What is it prescribed for?

Emphysema with bronchitis pneumoconiosis

This medicine may be used to ease the condition of shortness of breath, persistent cough, and inflammation of the airways of the lungs by making the sputum thinner and less viscous and easier to cough out.

Tracheobronchitis

This medicine may be used in the symptomatic treatment of tracheobronchitis which is an infection causing inflammation of the trachea (windpipe) and airways of the lungs. It relieves the patient from an excessive cough and thick sputum in this condition.

Acute exacerbations of bronchitis

This medicine should be given with the appropriate antibiotic in conditions of Acute exacerbations of bronchitis since it helps in mucus secretion, which helps in improving cough, expectoration difficulties, and other symptoms.

Asthma

This medicine may be used for the prevention and treatment of symptoms associated with chronic asthma. Symptoms may include wheezing, chest tightness and difficulty in breathing.

Other lung diseases causing bronchospasms

This medicine may be used to treat airway blockage associated with other diseases of the lungs like chronic bronchitis, emphysema, etc.

How it works
