Her way of analysis is amazing and the insights she provides are very helpful. She is very friendly and will listen to your issues very patiently .

I have never gone for counselling before, but was dealing with severe anxiety and depression this year and wasn't able to figure out exactly why I was feeling so bad. I found Piya on practo and decided to try going. She was able to schedule an appointment with me right away, which I think is really essential when people are in a bad situation. After our first session, I was so happy I had found her. Every session is interactive, and though I might have been looking for someone to tell me what the right decision would be for certain questions in my life, she helped me realize that's not really what therapy is. It's about working with someone (and it's work and doesn't just happen overnight!!!) to get to a place where you yourself can have the strength to make your own choices in life and feel like you can trust them whatever the result, and learn from them. She's really helping me see some things I didn't realize before , and helping me equip myself with the emotional and communication tools to be open to the experiences I want to be open to. I would recommend seeing her if you know you are ready to feel differently and make a change but don't know of what to do. She will give you homework, but I like it! The work gives me something tangible and real to track my progress with and makes me feel like I'm doing something. It's true that when changing - a lot of that work has to be done yourself- but Piya is a great guiding voice of support and encouragement during this challenging process. Her openness to feedback and flexibility with different approaches made me feel like I would be totally comfortable talking with her about what's working or not working in the future, and that freedom of communication is really refreshing and I think, unique to her. Again, despite still working through my own worries and insecurities, I'm back to being more of my cheerful self, feeling hopeful, and honestly, feeling very excited to keep working on growing as a person both with her and when I am on my own. I have Piya to thank for all of this.
She Brings you to a comfort level so dt u can confide anything and everthing.
After the 2nd session i ws alrdy feelng better recovering and improvising. By the fourth session i already had a better insight to everythn i ws going thru and how i could it deal wid it. i saw the change widin me and so did others.
She is very cooperating,understanding and treats u like a friend and not a patient. Thats d difference btwn any other psychiatrist and her. Very positive and always smiling which makes me feel good and smile to. Following her suggestions has realy worked. I feel as if a burden has been lifted up from my soul and i feel much lighter and free. I am much better and happy widin myself.
Definately recommend everyone who is facing their demons and dark syd and wants to come to light.. she surely helps u the best way possible never compelling. She steps in ur shoes and understands the depth of ur problem.. helps and motivates you to work on urslf in a very positive way. Always at her best. The space here is very less to express how grateful i am to u.. Thankyou for ur help and contribution in finding myslf and overcoming every obstacle widin myslf. Keep up the good work !!☺

I had visited Dr Banerjee for my Anger Management problem. I have already completed two sessions and I am highly satisfied. The doctor is really very patient and tries to solve all the problems. I am feeling a bit better nowadays and I hope surely that I will be able to completely control after all the sessions are over. The solutions given by the doctor have really been very useful to me. I hope that I will completely recover after required number of sessions are over. Her tips and advices are really very useful.
She was very open to hear me out. I am not good at expressing myself and very uncomfortable sharing my feelings unless someone is very close; yet she did her best to get me talking and we did talk about quite a few things which were bothering me. This was the first meeting and it gave me a sense of comfort . She has suggested certain ways to reduce the stress I have been going through and also handed out a simple assignment before we meet again in a week time. Hopefully the suggestions and future sessions help to zero down on all the problems, help overcome them and restore my positivity and enthusiasm.
well everything was right still everything collapsed in me :) That's when I knew that I need someone to talk, TO SHARE. After seeing seeing in practo I book an appointment and that was one of the most correct decision I made in Life..!! The doctor is less like a doctor more like a friend .. It took time but 90%of my problems are resolved.. and still I am working on it.. The homeworks are really good(not like school homework :P) to get back you on track.. Lastly, just one thing to the lovely lady out there

So, here I was, trying to figure out what was going wrong with me, when I stumbled upon Practo, & on searching for a psychologist (I didn't want a psychiatrist because I wanted counselling, not medication), I found out Grey Matters Wellness. Dr. Piya Banerjee has this earnest & friendly approach for which I could open up so comfortably even in the first session!! Though we still have a lot to work on, her advice, even from Day 1, seem to work wonders. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who thinks she/he needs someone to listen to them.
P.S. She is strict about the homework she gives you! :D
I have avoided going to a psychologist since a long time as I always felt that I won't be able to open up in front of anyone. But Piya Banerjee proved me wrong. She was extremely friendly, patient and co-operative. She is one of those people who brings in a lot of positive vibe to the room. The best part was how she made me understand where my problem lies by breaking down and simplifying the situation I was in and made me feel that things aren't that bad. She advised (and not prescribe) me to take small steps in order to overcome my problem. Hence she was more like a friend and not like the scary image of a counselor that I had in mind. I feel better and confident about dealing with my problem after the very first session. And I'm looking forward to the next session.
