Dr. Nilanjan Chatterjee

I am Soma Dutta Gupta want to share my story how I came to know about Dr. Nilanjan Chatterjee . Iam from Visakhapatnam , My mother Mrs. Chabi Dutta Gupta was attacked with a brain stroke on August 17 and thus she was affected with paralysis on the left side of her body . She was taken to the local hospital but the doctors were not attending hospitals due to covid . They were not ready to give any treatment . After a lot of request they gave her the first aid and asked me to take her for CT scan of brain and lungs to the diagnostic centre . After the reports came they just asked us to take the patient home , told us to continue giving her infusion of saline . The doctor also told us that she may survive maximum 4to 5 days . At the same time we had no clue as to how to deal with a patient who is so critical . There was no medication up to 23 . Then I came across a friend of mine in Kolkata who gave the doctor Nilanjan Chatterjee 's number . Thus I contacted him and gave him all the reports . The doctor asked for other details of her reports like ECG and blood reports which we could not give . But the doctor was so good and friendly that he took the case challenging and started his treatment . Then the next day that is on 24 August we got an appointment of. Neuro consultant who saw the reports and prescribed Glycerol syrup and levipil tablets . Even he gave an ultimatum that she would not survive for long maximum 14 days . But doctor Nilanjan sir did not tell anything like and continued with his treatment . She miraculously started showing signs of recovery although very slow but by the third week she was moving her left arm and leg . This was a great achievement . There were no proper and complete information about the patient's internal condition and just whatever external information I was able to give as per that he prescribed medicines . Regular video calling and his friendly advice helped the patient to regain her strength . I recommend the doctor for treatment . He is a life saviour .

We are from Visakhapatnam and had come to know about the doctor from a local source . At the time of pandemic when our mother was struck by paralytic attack and brain hamarage ,he only was our good Samaritan as he gave us all the assistance ,support and treatment to a 75 year aged woman without any kind of reports excepting the CT scan of her brain and lungs .
