Dr. Vani is a Female General Surgeon and a leading Proctologist, trained in various countries abroad, practicing since 10 years in various private hospitals in and around Adyar and RA Puram. She is a consultant in Apollo Spectra Hospitals, Fortis Malar Hospital at Adyar, Kauvery Hospital at Alwarpet, and Billroth Hospital, RA Puram. She is the amongst very few female surgeons to hold Diploma in Laparoscopy from EITS IRCAD, France. She is also internationally trained for breast procedures. As a female surgeon, she has been able to draw attention to most women patients and gynecologists and other referring physicians to treat women with problems concerning proctology ( study of anus and rectum ), gastroenterology and breast.She has created awareness about prevention of Piles, Fissures and Constipation on a large scale especially among the females of reproductive age group as they are more prone to these ailments.
