Dr. Sumiran Passey

Dr. Sumiran Passey has completed his MD Sports Medicine from Faculty of Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (Punjab). Prior to this he completed his MBBS degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, Mangalore. He specialises in sports medicine and sports sciences. He also holds FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine. He is currently Media Commission Member for Indian Association of Sports Medicine. He is a certified team physician by Asian Federation of Sports Medicine and Asian Football Confederation.During his academic years he has gained clinical experience from well renowned hospitals like Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Safdurjung Hospital, Fortis Escorts Hospital and more. He is certified AFSM sports rehabilitation specialist. Also, he is well trained in sports traumatology, non-invasive treatment procedures, biomechanical assessments, sports psychology, human performance assessments and other sport related assessments. He has actively participated in many National/International forums that included being a part of medical assistance team during Commonwealth Boxing Trials at Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports and providing medical cover for various inter-universities and inter-college sports events. He has also been a part of Anti-Doping awareness programs.
