Dr. Amiya Banerjee

Dr Amiya Banerjee received his postgraduate training at NIMHANS, Bengaluru, and AIIMS, New Delhi. He has 25 years of experience in working with persons and families affected by psychiatric disorders. The problems that persons with these disorders experience have to be understood from several perspectives. Medical conditions, underlying personality, previous experiences, realtionships, work - all these factors contribute to the persons' wellbeing and illness. Understanding and addressing these factors requires different specialists within mental health to work together as a team. Dr Banerjee uses this team-based approach to mental health in the management of his patients.
