I am visiting India from SA and my child fell sick on a weekend,I searched him online and went with a mindset that he will check my child for max 4 mins write a long prescription which I won't have any idea about including antibiotics and that's about it. I was so wrong, upon enterance first thing I noticed was a sign which meant the doct doesn't believe in giving unnessary antibiotics. Then I saw a kids friendly clinic( with toys, aquarium a very friendly receptionist). My appointments started on time and like abroad the doct first checked weight and height and asked me the problem and listened to me patiently. He then advised me several things which is against everything you might have thing is right but it was the most useful information that I got. Almost life changing for the betterment of my kids. After an hour I just didn't walk away with the current problem solution but a life long lesson. He told me the pros and con of every medicin that I am going to administer.
I recommend Dr Ojha to every parent who is willing to listen and change there mindset about things that are being pushed on us as parents by MNC's. Thank you Dr for being so passionate about your work and putting every patient first.

Been with Dr Ojha for about a year now for my kid. I have consulted a lot paediatricians but have found Dr Ojha's approach highly professional combined with anecdotes understood by common man. His profound experience is reflected in the way of his investigation which may seem casual for the untrained eye but highly details and spot on. He give ample time to hear each question we have for him about our child ranging from ailments to nutrition to psychological development and guides us. The major fear I always had was to bring up a child in this world in a cess pool of over-medicines, antibiotics and processed nutrition was quickly alleviated by him as his approach was more on developing a stronger biological system rather than rely on external stimulus on ailments. I really appreciate him, his plethora of experience and his approach in treating his patients; and also handling inquisitive and overly protective parents. A deep and profound thanks Dr Ojha for your guidance and help.

I am visiting Dr Ojha from last 3 yrs and I can say, I am MORE THAN SATISFIED with him.
He listen to you properly, explains things that we dont know and most important DO NOT give a lot of medicines rather help by listing out natural thing which can substitute medicines.
I have read some reviews here lately and agree that every one has there point of view, I want to share mine...
I would say I am happy to hear few hard words if that is in betterment of my child health. He is talkative? yes, because he explains things. It takes you 1hr in cabin? yes, because he guide what we are doing wrong and what can be improved.
He takes time because he listen to you, far batter than the doctors who list down all medicines even before you finishes explaining your problem.
I would say I have a perfect doctor for my kid and I have and will highly recommend him.
Everyone has their own point of view towards a doctor. I had a bad experience with Dr. Ojha. He is very talkative and explain things which can be a good thing. First of all it took like half hour to get through the waiting. And then we were stuck for 1 hour in his cabin. We went their to get medication for our 10 months old having abscess and we also asked him if the baby is having ear infection. He didn't check the baby thoroughly. He just played with him and said yes he has pain in both the ears and dragged us to his favorite topic nutrition. He said your baby is malnoutritioned as he doesn't have teeth yet. Rather than prescribing the supplements he started shaming us. I think this is a very wrong approach towards your patients. We know you are a doctor but that doesn't mean you will keep shaming and judging first time parents. He told me that my baby doesn't need any milk through out the day and i should breastfeed only to soothe him at night. Milk is nothing but water so you should not give him milk even once in a day!! He said i give him my breastmilk to satisfy myself as he doesn't require any milk at this time. I tried to tell him that i am expressing milk since he was born. He was not letting me explain only. I wanted to tell him how much hard work is included in expressing the milk as you have to pump throughout the day and wash n no of parts. It couldn't be satisfying in anyway.
He said my baby should have 10-15 teeths by now and he has none. I agree with him that he might be calcium deficient. But this is a very wrong way to put in front of the parents. My baby has 3 meals a day and still the dr thinks we are starving him. He didn't care to ask us what we give our son to eat. With his own assumptions he was trying to insult us that we are bad parents and dont care about our kids health. His favourite line was kaisi ma hai aap?
Then he started to insult myself upon my health. I agree that i am a fat lady but that doesn't mean you have rights to judge me, i am visiting you to seek medical advice for my baby and expect the same. He said 'itni moti aurat ka itna patla bacha acha lagta hai kya' and then he asked me to stop eating.
My son was hungry and started crying but this guy was going on and on with his lecture without even caring for the babys discomfort.
Later in the evening we visited another doctor and he thoroughly checked the baby. He said there is no ear infection. And gave us medicine for abscess. He did ask us do we give supplements to our baby and prescribed some supplements for us and said you should have started with the supplements at 6 months only. Thats it, it took him 10 mins to check the baby and enlighten us. At the end he said just remember milk is the prime source of babys nutrition till 1 year and then you can switch to cow or whole milk.
I know i am going to get a very elobrated reply from the dr ojha on this. Sir you can put no of toys (which were very dirty) in your clinic, breastfeeding posters and a aquarium to make babies and parents happy but i seriously believe there can be a holistic approach towards new parents rather than shaming and judging them. Try to listen to your patients as well.
We visited to Doctors clinic to show our 15 moths old child suffering with fever. We informed him that paracetamol 250 and monocef o has been administered for last 3 days based on our previous doctors prescription. The Doctor bombarded like anything saying that you parent's are doing self medication this child is going to suffer, he will have internal bleedig welcome to city of Dengu and chickenguia and and went on saying all possible horrible thing to scare us like we have done crime. He also said this child should have all full mouth teeth by this time to eat fully. (Am not sure how many kids of 15 months have full mouth teeth) since we had to travel to kolkata the very nextr day on so we thought to check whether it is safe to continue or journey or not. Doctor replied journey is your call fever is god call I can't gurantee you that kid will get okay.then he again narrated story of how a drunken person had explained about his liver damage and passing out from body. We just kept silent and got rerrified to see his all stories. Finally after 20 minutes he started writing on prescription notepad and wrote calpol 250 and piritone syrup.. I just though to check is this P 250.. instantly he replied you parents are much knowledgeable about medicine and hence giving all wrong medicine..u must give only generic medicine like calpol since this get tested. Finaly he finished prescription and then I asked how even after 4 days body temperatureIis not coming down.. he said many people are fool and they dont understand medical science..and started next lecture. Finally we paid him Rs400 and came back. The experience was horrible me and my wife got fully terrified by this consultation and went another Doctor to show our kids. All I would say that patient visiting to this Dpxtor should not say anything about problem just listen and pay him.fee and come back. Please visit this doctor at your risk.

Our experience with Dr. Rishikant Ojha has been very good. He took his time to understand our issues and we also didn’t feel rushed. Visiting him we found ourselves in no hurry to describe our issues and he also took keen interest in listening and understanding our problems. Meanwhile he keeps playing with child making parents/child comfortable. Nutritional session with him was very good. He does not advice giving medicines to children until much needed which is in sync with our thoughts. Due to my transferable job nature we have visited good doctors across cities like Bangalore, Kanpur and all good doctors advice not to give medicines to your child unless absolutely necessary. We are happy to find Dr. Ojha from same school of thoughts.
