With folded hands, we pray to Almighty God that no one in this world is suffering from cancer. My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and after chemotherapy treatment doctor recommended that surgery also has to be done after three weeks of chemotherapy. By the grace of God, I came into contact with Dr. Pawan Gupta, Oncologist Surgeon and Specialist, Max Hospital, Vaishali, Ghaziabad. Dr. Pawan Gupta operated my wife's breast, which was a complete success and she was discharged from the hospital after four days. Dr. Pawan Gupta is an oncologist surgeon with vast experience. He is full of all the qualities a professional doctor should have to help and advise patients in dealing with their illness. Dr. Pawan Gupta explained to us in detail everything about the surgery procedure and its after effects. *** ***** ** *** **** ******* ** *** ***** *** ** **** rich in humble, soft-spoken and kind personality. ** ** ** ********* ******* **** * simplicity. On contacting them, I also came to know that by doing camps at various places, he does the pious work of giving information about prevention of cancer and to get rid of smoking. Dr. Pawan also visits the first wednesday of every month at, Ram Ganga Vihar, Moradabad, where patients from Moradabad city and nearby get the services of a senior doctor cheaply. We pray to God to always bless him with success to serve the patients. I express my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Dr. Pawan Gupta for the successful operation of my wife and all the advice, help and recommendations given from time to time. 16th Jan 2018 = Consulted Dr Pawan Gupta. They analysed the PET CT scan report and said that as per report the tumor is operable and surgery can be performed. They also said that they will analyse it at the microscopic level. And we have been suggested a lots of tests on which i have spend a lot amount of Rs,
Every time we visited him, they said it is operable. And finally they advised to plan the surgery on coming Wednesday i.e 24th Jan 2018.
21st Jan - We had an emergency situation where the feeding tube came out and we tried to contact Dr Pawan lots of time via calls/ whatsapp messages/ SMS/ whatsapp calls/ etc; but all unreachable.
Later we rushed to JP hospital in emergency but nobody was an expert there to put the tube back. And they suggested us to come next day.
22nd Jan 2018 - We visited next day i.e 22th Jan, met Dr Pawan and again they told to go for more tests. And advised to admit the patient and start TPN and told us that will perform the surgery on wednesday i.e: 24th Jan 2018.
We admitted my mother and the TPN and all process started.
23 Jan 2018 - Around 3:30 PM Junior Dr Praveen and Lavleen came to us and told a different story that we have further analysed the report and came to conclusion that tumor has spread more and the ratio is 60:40. So surgery has more risk in our case.
I asked them why the analysis was not done so far and why it was not communicated to us earlier and why the things are changed at the last moment? They said that they were saying whatever was told to them by Dr Pawan and for further information you can call him.
I called Dr Pawan and asked the same question and to my surprise he said that i was busy and have some other works so didn't analysed.
His answer seems to be very casual to me. And i discharged my mother as they were just doing experiments.
Queries:
1. Why the analysis was done at last moment; i.e: the day before the surgery?
2. Why we were not informed about the exact analysis? and why we were informed at the last moment, i.e just the day before the surgery?
3. Why my mother was admitted if the situation was not clear and the analysis was not done?
4. I was charged 15K bill for two days admission. Who will be responsible for this?
5. Went N number of test that costed around 40K Rs. Day before the surgery saying very casually that the tumor is highly In-Operable.
I also met the MOD (Mighty) but didn't get a satisfactory response.
I also want to add that Dr Pawan seems to be highly casual doctor in my case. They just wasted my time, my energy and my Rupees. And have shaken-ed my faith on the JP hospital. How come a doctor on such high position is so much casual towards a cancer patient?.
Please understand that we from middle class families has lots of stake to put on when anyone in the family falls sick. Please understand the patient situation and have some humanity.
Can anyone have any answers to my queries?
Gaurav
