Dental Implant – No More a Reason to Fear Instead a Reason to Cheer!!

The very moment we hear about dental implants, either our hearts miss a beat or we start feeling scared of what’s going to happen next. I am no different since it was something entirely new to me and to add to it, I did not know anyone who had ever got an implant done and I could ask for feedback.

I have known Dr Ahuja for quite some time now and had taken his advice if I should go in for a filling or a bridge. After taking an x-ray and observing that I had lost more than 75% of the tooth the best way forward was a dental implant. Soon the day arrived and I was called at the clinic. Dr Ahuja had made me feel relaxed and clearly mentioned that once the local anaesthesia comes into action, I would not feel a thing. The first step involved extraction of the deteriorated tooth and that too in one piece and then screwing in the implant to my jaw. Surprisingly, the procedure was not at all painful as it sounded and was completed with ease. All that I could feel was the vibration of the drilling of the machine and the stitches being inserted, which had happened in the final stages. After a few days of eating food from one side, once the gums had shown signs of healing, I started eating from both sides and did not feel any pain at all. After about 3 months, I am now finally getting my tooth fixed and I am happy to see that my teeth look as good or even better than before.

Dr. Ahuja's presence in the vicinity of our Indirapuram neighborhood is a blessing. Happened to discover him by chance and in hindsight it was sure serendipity.

Being an IT and marketing professional, I know the value of an accurate and true testimonial because someone in future shall stake a decision based on what one says.

Hence, I never give feedbacks till I really mean them and this by far could be the longest i have written so far.

Detailed Feedback

Background: Have had a lot of dental issues (multiple RCTS, extractions and counting  ) and been to different dentists in past. However, wasn't satisfied at most of those places owing to varying factors: painful treatment, feeling that the diagnosis was incomplete or not on the target, feeling that only problem at hand was being addressed but no long-terms solution is being provided, relatively higher costs, long waiting times, cold attitude of the doctor or not having time to answer questions.

With Dr. Ahuja:

Was pleasantly surprised that all of the above points are neatly taken care at his clinic:

-Treatment was without any discomfort. He seems to be having all the latest tech which is ensuring that I have had no discomfort at any stage, so far.

-Patiently, he first shared an overall picture, gave recommendations and was willing to take it forward as a ‘joint project’ rather than 1-way traffic from his side.

-Costs are surprisingly very competitive w.r.t. to dentists I visited in past.

-Am given multiple options to choose the timing slot best suited for me. There are no cold stares if I push back on a suggested slot. Typically, get my turn at allotted time without time-overruns.

-I didn't feel at any stage that Dr. Ahuja’s recommendations were unnecessary; those who have been to dentists in past would know what I mean by 'bad dentists' – the ‘bad’ ones say 'Root canal kara lo ya tooth hi extract kara lo for every sensation that you have in your mouth!'

-The 'Crown' of his well-rounded service is that he is always smiling, relaxed and understands the space a patient is in when one sits in the bespoken – ‘dreaded dentist's chair.’ He appears to be very relaxed and in control of the situation.

-Best part for me - He doesn’t have an air of - ' Am too busy and have no time for our questions' attitude. He gives you time to clear your queries even when one can clearly see that he is in great demand and liked by all his patients.

Downside:

Dr Ahuja has made the dental treatment experience such a walk in the park that I dread that am more relaxed than ever with my dental history and thus might end up eating more sweet things!

Conclusion:

Safely recommended for all.

We are 4 members as his patients in a family now, guess that’s what we call as the 'good family doctor experience.'

Experienced doctor, his vision is very clear for treatment, i liked the way he explained me the issue and the treatment for that

Not at all recommended. Doctor attends two patients together. Your ailment should be discussed in private and not along with a group of patients.

Untrained staff do the diagnosis and when you ask questions they ask you to wait so that they can ask doctor and then answer you.

Very very poor hygiene at clinic. They charge 500 for nothing. Gave 1 star because no option to give 0.

Doctor is well experienced and explain the issue by well and suggest the course of action and treatment to be done. Overall high satisfactory experience

where to start, everything withe doctor seemed to be not right. I was diagnosed with Dental cyst approx 20mm in diameter. Doctor explained everything and asked us to go to max vaishali as he would the surgery there. In max vaishali it was another tussel. We were told to make another prescription of the empanelled dr. as Mr. Anshuman is not on panel. ** ** ** *** ** ***** **** *** *** ** ******* ******** This all seemed not clear. I have been visiting and recommending Dr Ahuja from last 3 yrs. Have recently gone for implants (have previously done fillings & extraction too) and very satisfied with the treatment and Dr’s friendly attitude towards patients. I would definitely recommend him.

I came to this clinic in Feb 2014 with completely confused diagnostics from Max & Apollo hospitals Noida. At the same time I was having lot of pain in my 7th & 8th molar.

Dr. Ahuja gone thoroughly all my reports & x rays and did root canal in my 7th molar ,now after 2 years I can say it was bang on diagnostic. There was absolutely no pain or problem while getting done root canal etc. During last 2 years also things were awesome. Treatment cost wise also it was the lowest during that time. Now after 2 years my crown came out but it has been resolved at my utmost satisfaction. My recommendation for Dr Ahuja close to perfect:-).
