Dr. Chalam Das Velappan

One of the most famous psychiatrists in Kerala, Dr. Chalam Das started off as Consultant Psychiatrist at Sunrise Hospital in 2007. After completing his MBBS from TD Medical College, Alappuzha, he went on to obtain MD in Psychiatry from Government Medical College, Kottayam. He currently heads the Psychiatry Department at Sunrise Hospital, with his team comprising clinical psychologists, psychiatric social workers, speech therapists and occupational therapists. In addition, he also heads a child guidance clinic.
