She pays attention to her client for the whole duration, and makes them feel really seen and heard. The way she cares about explaining some of the concepts that come up is really helpful as it increases our understanding and makes the session twice as effective and those little things stay with us and prove to be helpful ahead. As a part of my counselling psychology internship, we were given the valuable opportunity to observe her sessions. I had the chance to visit Dr Monika Sharma’s clinic and the experience was truly enriching.
During my visit, I observed three different cases and was deeply impressed by Dr Monika’s compassionate, insightful and realistic approach to therapy. What stood out the most was how she helped clients understand their issues by connecting them to real-life experiences and stories, gently guiding them towards self-awareness and growth. Her way of explaining the ‘why’ behind emotions and behaviours and helping clients discover the ‘how’ to cope was incredibly impactful.
Even during our online classes, I found her teaching style very engaging and grounded in practical knowledge. But seeing her work live increased more and more of respect and admiration. She brings immense warmth and clarity to her sessions and her ability to weave personal experiences into clinical insight makes learning from her truly special.
I feel lucky to have been mentored by someone so dedicated and empathetic and I believe anyone who gets the opportunity to even interact with her will feel the same.
