The steps generally involve psycho-education, individual/family counseling, motivational enhancement, and pharmacological management on a need basis. Cases requiring liaison with the other specialties are managed accordingly. He takes a special interest in difficult to treat mood disorders. He also carries out teaching and training programs in the community from time to time, be it training the GPS on issues related to psychological medicine or organizing seminars in schools on topics related to child and adolescent mental health.
